I - Introduction

Hi guys, my name is Alexandre and I'm know in games by Taisen. Here i'll show you guys my progression on my journey to become a MAX TH10.
I'll try to explain all my plans on this while the days pass and will be asking opinions on what to do.
Ps: I'm more focous on wars, but by having both heroes upgrading all time, I'm a little out for this. However i'll focous all my resources to upgrade the defenses with has low war weight.
Ps2: Become TH10 on 24th August 00:00am (it was my present for myself on my birthday.), so I'm a TH10 player for two months and some weeks.

Ps: About the walls, now I have 121 magmas and 154 lavas walls.

III - My Plans

Here I'll write my builders plans and how I'll try to proceed it:

1) Upgrading Queen to 31.
2) Upgrading King to 31.
3) Upgrading Archer Tower to 11.
4) Upgrading Archer Tower to 11.
5) Upgrading walls / waiting time to upgrade another Archer Tower to 11.
Ps: I'll wait till some builder became idle on 1 day to put the 5 builder on some upgrade.

Labs: Upgrading now Mage to 6, and than thinking on freeze spell till 5
Heroes: I'll try hard to keep they upgrading all time till 40

IV - My Farm's Army

I also use mostly two kind of arms to farm:

1) Barch - 2x Barb, 2x Arch (sometimes I put also 16 minions for less time on cooking).
2) Loonion - 20 Loons 70 Minions.

Quick question for you. Minions 6 is such an expensive upgrade, do you feel it was worth it to upgrade them as early as you did in TH10? That is do you think the upgrade itself was a good one?

Like I farm basicaly all day with Loonion, because I don't have much time on nexting till find some good collectors raids, I'd say it is worth for me, since they improve a lot on lvl6.

In fact, I upgrade them first because the amount of elixir at the biginning of Th10 like you should upgrade army camps, laboraty and spell camps.

You should do that "Base Update" image thing that I do, where you just use a separate layout from your regular multiplayer base and just place down your walls and other structures down in some form of fashion, and then show everyone how your base is going. Like this: http://imgur.com/zxWVzFo - It doesn't have to be EXACTLY like that, but I'm sure you get the idea.

Maybe post one like that on the OP then once every week or so, you can show how you've progressed through these passing weeks without showing what your multiplayer base looks like :p , its just an idea/suggestion I think you should consider.

Thanks appreciate the feed back. You're at least the 2nd TH10 I know who did minions 1st. Both of you loonian a lot.

I'm a few months away from TH10 but it's never too early to get ideas about what order to upgrade troops when I do get there.

I was doing it, but while I'm on university now, the Wi-Fi didn't uploaded the image to dropbox so I could upload it on Imgur :(, I'm planning on doing it when I get home or tomorrow when I wake up. Btw thx for the tip

Nah it's all good, as long as you're planning on doing it, you're all good in my books, besides I'm sure everyone wants to see how your base progresses throughout the time of the TH10 stage in your life :p So don't worry about the picture(s) right this moment.

Edit: Add when I become a TH10 player on Introduction session.

I'd say weekly updates are probably good unless you hit a specific milestone or something.

The build/research times are all pretty long at TH10.

Hmmm, i'll do it... Btw my queen just finished her upgrade to 31 and I had 193k DE, so she is upgrading to 32 now.

Will try to focous on dark since I have 3d 10hrs for king and need 122k for his upgrade.

Very nice progression! Especially on those magmas! :smirk:

Thx. I`ll not disapoint you guys!

question for you - when you do a 20 loon, 70 minion raid how does that work?
That is do you selectively use the loons to target a few outer defenses (aka surgical) and overwhelm the storages with minions or does it work differently?
Do you lay down a wall of balloons and send minions behind to clean up?

It really depends on where the loot are. For example, if the loot is all on collectors, so I usually send some loon to tank the damage and minions to get the collectors.
But if the loot is all on storages, I usually go for where is the nearest and more valuable loot. It's kind of hard, but i'll try to explain, think the map is a square, you have the top, the bot, the right and the left sides, for going into the storages I choose two of this sides to place all balloons separately with 1 rage or 1 heal (one side will be with heal and the other with rage) and behind the loons I place the minions, so they'll funnel till center and get at least half of the loot

Just some spoilers on what comes next Monday on my thread:

1) Walls from now: 129 magmas / 146 lavas.
2) Queen going for 32.
3) 1d 2hrs for King 31 and have already 104k DE, so problaby he'll be on his way to 32 too.
4) 3/6 Archer's Towers 11.
5) 2 Archer's Towers upgrading to 11.

Looks like the plans is going well and I'll have magmas and heroes almost maxed till end of the year.

Like I said on my first post, I focus more in wars, even non participating on them because I'm keep both heroes upgrading to lvl 40, I'll keep them lvl 1 for my weight on war be less.

Interesting thread and approach to your progression. I am almost finished at TH10 (except magma walls), having spent my time focused mainly on DE farming for heroes. I'm envious of your magma walls, well done.

Hey guys! Today is the day to check how much have we progressed! Yes, we! Because all of you are helping me and stimulating to farm more and more.

Let's stop talking and see what have done so far on one week!

My profile: here we can see that i've earn a lot of wins bonus. One week ago I had 241 and now 483!

GG: 1,202 to 1,229 - 27m on 7 days!
EE: 1,242 to 1,269 - 27m on 7 days! - It really looks funny! Because i've just farmed the same tons of resources hahaha.
HH: 4,706 to 4,885 - It's about 179k DE on 7 days, wich is 25m/day just on farm, we have more on league bonus! It allowed to upgrade the queen and king just like you'll see later!

5) Idle till one day on one upgrade so I can upgrade the walls.

Labs: Mages going to 6 on more 6 days. So I'll start upgrading freeze spell till 5.

Yes, like I said, from week, during the day (from 6:20am till 6:00pm) I use to farm with Loonion (20 Loons, 70 minions). But when I go for university 7pm till 11:45pm I use both depends on classes and when I'm at home I just use Barch / Bam (16 minions) till 1:00 ~ 1:15am

For war I would think upgrading point defense, particularly archer towers and tesla would be best bang for buck. point defenses that target both ground and air but don't add a ton of war weight. At least from what I've read, I'm only th9.

Yeah, I've talked to a co-lider of top war clans and he said to upgrade teslas, air defense and wizard tower first. So I've started upgrade my first tesla to max it'll take 14 days. All my builders that get idly will be put to up teslas, think much of walls coming on this 14 days hahaha

Hey guys! It's me again. Today I'll show you my second week after the start of this thread. My farm was a bit lower than the first week, but I think I did well on this.

The walls are 152 magmas and rest lavas. Based on my farm, probably in last week of dezember all my walls will be done.

The heroes are going to 33 both. Queen wakes up on more 1d12hours, so hope I farm all the dark I'll need to upgrade she to 34.

On my labs, started upgrading freeze spell on sunday and will take it till lvl 5!

Yo bro, first of all, thanks for following my journey!

Second, I think it's kind impossible for you to join my clan, because it's just for brazilian prayer's :/. I can talk to the leader and see what he think about it, but most of guys from here aren't fluent in english and that's why it's just for brazilians.

For now I think I can help you by saying the way I farm when have Loonion. It's pretty simple, just follow two steps.

1) Locate where the loot are.

Here you'll have just two options.

I) Loot on collectors:
Deploy ballons to tank damage from archer tower's, wizard tower's and air defenses followed by minions to steal the loot behind the ballons.

II) Loot on storages: Usually in this cases you'll get half of the storages (2 gold, 2 elixir, 1 dark). Here who will separete your attack on two, with the same troops on each side. For example, I use 20 loons and 70 minions on my farming strategy, so I deploy 10 loon and 35 minion on each side of the base. Remember that the sides must be near it, for example: top and one side left or right or botton and left or right.
The way I farm is using both hands, choose the loon, choose the sides and put one finger on each side and starts sliding my fingers till finish loons and than do the same thing with minions. About the spells, when have wizard tower's I just drop one heal and on the other side I drop one rage. Most of the time the raid is sucefull (take half of the storages + loot bonus).

2) Locate the best way to get the loot you want.

Here you'll simply analyze the layout and see by where you can go to get the resource you want and follow the step described above.

I used to think about getting all the storages and end up with nothing :facepalm: ,so depressing.
This loonion thing is kinda new to me that's why I asked this noob question :facepalm:

Yooo guys, My name is Bruno and my nickname in game is MonkeyDPositive like Taisen said, we are twin's brothers hahaha. In fact all of them had loot bonus, so it's 120k/120k/700 resource each! Make the math, see how much have I've earned on this raids!

Have really good feelins on finishing my wall grid at end of dezember, so I have one month to 100 walls, kind of 3 walls / day, it's hard, but I think I'll get it!

Now with the recent chances on Clash I'll start focous upgrading my Inferno Towers till 3 (maybe both at the same time, and yes, I know it's the wrong thing to do and that I should upgrade just one per time, but can't wait till IT 3).

About my heroes, both are going to 34! Queen be free on one day and I just have 86k DE, it's gonna be hard to farm for she, but I'll try, maybe boost two barracks one time, dunno yet.

Congrats!

And I think you should try to get your infernos up to at least level 2. As for xbows, I think you should try to get your level 1 xbow to at least level 3, just to be safe.

Thx bro! In fact the farm to put they upgrading will not be sooooo hard, as all can see I farm really well everyday, my biggest problem will be upgrade walls on the same day as I upgrade the infernos/xbows :P. Dunno if I'll finish all walls untill the end of december.

Your base is pretty sweet. I'm sure you'll be fine after the update. Though I agree with suggesting to upgrade infernos before the update hits if you can.

Thx mate, I am putting all my strengths on it trying to become as faster as I can a max Th10.

For today I'm just saving my gold to put one inferno tower upgrading to 2 because I have just one free builder. And on more three days I put the other IT to 2.

Now I need a opinion about the coming Th11, I'm thinking if they unleash new lvl of heroes or walls and I became full at them, should I go to Th11 to start working on new lvls or stay at Th10 until became 100% full? :confused:

I think you should go to TH11 when you've gotten at least 85-100% of your base (excluding walls) maxed.

Hmmm thx for the advice, it's kind hard to upgrade defenses while upgrading both heroes, because it's just two builder to do it and the upgrade times are, for heaven's sake, too long.

I think this is sticky question sometimes that depends a lot on play style. My rule of thumb is if you are building up resources faster than you can spend them it's probably time to move on to the next TH.

I think for you you'll have 35+/35+ heroes and full lvl11 walls "soon" and will be nearly out of lab upgrades. I think your base would hold up really well at TH11 and if you raid mostly TH10s now you won't see a big change in your raiding, it's more a question of what do you want to do?

Do you want to war a while at TH10 with strong hereo's and troops or do you want to move on to TH11 for the new toys?

Really appreciate this, I'm the kind of player who farm a LOT per day, dunno how the chances by the coming of Th11 could affect my farm.

My lab is far away from my heroes and wall since my queen are going to 35 and king 34, also I have 181 magmas walls.
Just for you know the missing upgrades on lab: Gigant to 7, Goblin to 6, WallBreaker to 6, Drag to 3/4, Valk to 4, Golem to 5, Lava to 3, Light Spell to 6/7, Jump Spell to 3, Freeze Spell to 4/5, Poison Spell to 4, Earthquake to 3/4, Haste Spell to 3/4. It's about to 30 weeks of upgrade! Hahaha it's miles away from be full.

By wars it's kind of suck for me, that is addicted war player stay away from it, otherwise staying full dark and lose this precious resource on each raid will broke my heart. Maybe, if I get heroes + walls and my dark lab's upgrade full I'd move to Th11.

I always forget how long the dam lab takes. I have "just" 10 upgrades left in the TH9 lab and I think the total is something like 120 days of upgrades.

Now let's start comparing the datas of last month and today:

GG: 1.20 billion -> 1.30 billion
EE: 1.24 billion -> 1.34 billion
HH: 4.70 million -> 5.37 million
Heroes: Both 30 -> Both 34
Walls: 154 Lavas / 121 Magmas -> 192 Lavas / 83 Magmas.

As we can see, the grid is hard, but by keeping working we'll cross that line!

I'm really happy on my heroes and walls progress, because I get to upgrade they (heroes) all the time till now! It was "just" 4 lvls, but for god, the DE spended on it were highly!

And about the walls, it was 38 new lvl11 walls that cost 152m resources! I know it wasn't much, but I'm pride of myself because I'm keep builders upgrading while the walls grid and the upgrades were really expensive!

Ps: decided to upgrade my IT as soon as possible while the upgrade is coming! By now, both my IT are upgrading to lvl2.

Do you want to upgrade your walls to max lvl before upgrading your defense to max lvl?
I mean you have a lot Magma walls, so i think it might be better to go for the defense, since you farmed like 100M Gold^^.

PS: I know my walls are only lvl 9/10 ^^ but i dont care that much about the walls.

First of all, thanks! And I'm following up your thread too hahaha, also i've commented on it days ago.

Answering your questio: No I'm not focus on walls, but by farming a lot per day I usualy leave one free builder for spend the resources and keep the others four upgrading staffs. For now I'm working on upgrade both heroes all the time, that's why the defenses looks like being so slowly and seens to not be given the properly importance. The king and queen are upgrading non-stop from lvl 27 till 35, so it's 8 weeks of constantly upgrade, and 8 weeks with only two builders on defenses :P.

Btw, keep your amazing work too and let's "finish" the game :cool:!

I am totally jelly of your walls and heroes. I wish I was as efficient raiding as you are being able to seemingly keep both heroes down constantly and knocking out a few 4M wall segments a day is impressive.

Hahaha thx bro, the painful grid are real, but really satisfactory! Seeing my heroes almost full and this will do I be able to go every war is amazing! It's just more 5 ~ 6 weeks of pain and then I'll be in heaven, walking on clouds!

That sounds like fun. Don't forget to pop the cloak like I did today. Probably turned what should have been a 3 star attack into a 1 star attack. My Queen is only half yours though and I miss her terribly when she's under the anvil for a week. I'm kind of dreading 20 more upgrades for the King and 23 more for the Queen but I do enjoy having them ever so much when both are awake.

Hahaha I didn't! But failed at my first attack :(, it's hard to deal with IT 3 with freeze 3 and just queen, hope on my second attack I'd do better.

Hi bambambii, how are you mate?

Well from before the update the farm was good for me, sometimes I had to next a lot to find something to loot or snipe, but sometimes I've found 7 snipes on 5min plus a lot of 150k+ each to raid. I just use loonion and barch (prefer barch) and it's kind of easy to 50% for loot bonus.

Ps: I met mostly high lvl ones, but just attack dead bases and it's going pretty well as you can see on this thread.

Okay buddy, tomorrow @theendoftheday (brazil time here). I'll post my thoughts on the farm and the way I have farmed.

Tip when farming with Barch:

• Try to use both hands. (on my case the left one is for troop select, the right one for deploying the troops);
• On the troops deployment use more than just one finger; (on my case I usualy use three fingers)
• Try to get all sides of the base by deploying some barbarians for tank the damage and after the archers for getting the internal builds.

Ps: I can try to record a video of how I use the hads to farm if you want.

I know that it's just to early, but till now my experiences on this update is terrible. It was really hard to keep both heroes upgrading, now it's IMPOSSIBLE to keep ONE heroe upgrading, from yesterday till now I've lose 6k DE. I'm really really really really upset.

Farming at least for me, was amazing fun, but now, it's amazing disappointing. For sure I'll stop farming like the worlds end today.

Taisen have you consider changing league? I'm TH9 so cannot tell you where you should go but I havent had a complet attacke since update so maybe your just in the hot zone and need to change league ?!?

Nice update! It's just ♥♥♥♥ed all my plans and hard work on having both heroes upgrading till 40. Now I have both 35 and none being upgrade yet! In other words, RIP my grid! Thank you everyone for support, but my hard work is done. I'll attack tons less per day, so I'm thinking on close this thread and maybe my clash of clans account. It was really fun till now, but next step isn't more.

FYI: Sry for late, but yerterday my friend called me and invited to play soccer with he and his friends and I'm a freaking soccer player, so I couldn't say no hahaha.

Well, let's stop talking about things you don't care and go into the real reason all are here.

First of all, I wanna talk about my thoughs on this update:

1. Biggest problem is the Personal Break Shield. For me that I am an advanced Th10 player and have a solid defense + walls and one of the most donator / helper on my clan wars it's really anoying to stay too long offline simply because I don't get attack properly for reset shield. I don't wanna go deep on it, because it's not the proper place;
2. End of snipes: Most of the Dark Elixir that were farmed on game at least from me, was by getting the league bonus and this helped a lot to keep both herores upgrading all time! With this chance I think I'll not be able to keep they upgrading, I'll choose one and upgrade now till 40 and than go back to the other.
3. Loot are terrible: After all big updates everything chances a loot, maybe the loot are terrible, but maybe we didn't find the properly league + army composition to farm. I'll give a shot with some strategies that I'm thinking and when I come up with something real I'll be sure to post it here.

I've being here for just one day, can't say if its good or no yet.

But for me it's working well, I don't lose much resource plus the loot is doing well. If I were you, I'd give it a shot and try by yourself, maybe on my next week I can say more about the loots + properly league to be.

Okay guys, 2 days at silver league (III / II), the farm are pretty good for me. From now, I can say that these leagues are the good one to stay and farm. So my tip is: Go down to silver league and farm well!

Good to here, I may give it a try as I work on TH9 walls. I've dropped from Masters 3 to Gold 1 and I clearly see a lot more easy bases to loot. Dark isn't quite as good but G/E is some much better.

I expect looting to be glorious next week after the 1 gem boost kicks in.

Yo guys we're starting our six week of upgrade since this thread was created, as we can see in first page we've progressed a lot! I'm really grateful on how long I've walked since the begging of this thread and excited on the upcoming one gem resource boost. Soon I'll be a maxed walls as you can see on the end of this reply it's just more 62 walls to go.

Ps: Since I said begore, some of my plans have changed due to the new upgrade of the game. From now I'll focous on upgrading just one hero per time (it's kinda impossible for me to keep both upgrading all time till max). Said that I've choose upgrading Queen till 40 first and than go for my king. Why? Because the Queen is the best troop for farming, biggest range and dps, so I want her lvl 40 asap to use non-stop! Actually she is 36 going to 37, so more 4 weeks and i'll get that sunshine queen 40 can't even believe on this!

4) Tesla to 8, 7d to go (the last tesla to max!)

Think on xbow to 3 and than the Wizard's Tower to 8.

Yo bro of course I can!

1) Even if you're either a war player or farmer player you should upagrade clan castle as your first upgrade, following by spell's factory and than army camps. You should have all the slots for your troops and spells open asap.

2) On the laboratory priorities I'll part on 2.
2.1 War player: Froze spell to 5, Pekka to 5, Golem to 5, Lava to 3, Wizard to 6, WB to 6 and than you see what u want to upgrade.
2.2 Farm player: It'll depends on what kind of army comps you use. For me that use most barch, bam and loonions, i've upgrade first minions, than barbarians and than archers. My tip here: go for what increase more HP to your composition.

3) The builders: We're on a ney era of clans of clans, so i'd say to upgrade your splash damage as soon as possible, going by inferno towers, wizard towers, and mortals.

Thx mate, it will take a bit longer than what I've planned because the hard time farming is passing and I'm taking slowing the game till they fix this issue and also trying new ways of farming, maybe today I'll update this thread.
