War weight question

So i am a th9 with a war weight of 66,000 lvl 1 bows ect. every single war i have been in ( the past idk maybe 20-30 wars ) i have been pulling th9s with max wiz towers max mortars and level 3 xbows! no grant it not all of these th9s have had my level of troops but i know for a fact troops are weighted less heavily and in the end i am pulling guys averaging around 70,000 war weight! i know that the match making system is only a good guess but really? in some cases i have pulled an opponent with lvl 3 bows max wts, mortars ect. and level 20 heros! while my heros are level 12 and 11 am i just having bad luck or am i missing something here?

Its to do with the overall weight of the clan not as an individual if that makes sense. Its a part of the game you will have to get used to unfortunately. You might be over powered towards the top of the clan, but you may be stronger towards the bottom. This has happened to us many times once you understand war match ups are calculated overall it will become more clearer. Finding the right balanced between each townhalls with the members in war will give you a better balance.

And the luck of the draw from match making isnt always the best.

Offense is weighted just as highly as defenses I believe. The war weight you see is only defensive weight

You're not matched to your mirror, the clan is matched as a whole. So if your mirror is way ahead of you, look to see if the mismatch goes the other way elsewhere in the roster. If it doesn't, you might just have a bad match. I've seen several now where there's an average 4k difference in defense weight with approximately even offense - that's a bigger difference than SC should tolerate in my opinion.
I've seen one war with 8k average defense weight difference, it involved all .5 accounts (mismatch went against the .5s). Do you have .5s in the clan? I think .5s are very deceptive in war, end up with an easy mirror but screw up the match for everyone else. Also, I know its a pain, but keep working on those heroes. They don't count much for matchmaking, are crucial to offense, and there is no substitute.
