What PokeManiac and Radiating has said, its fun but it will involve time and not much strategy like normal wars do.

Just because it's not like normal war isn't a reason to dismiss the idea. This would be a short little fun exercise, let people try different attack strategies and yes, not have to deal with the coordination effort of a large war. Heaven forbid people have fun in a game.
Really 10vs10 is entirely different from 50vs50. The experience/time/coordination is dramatically different, far greater than the difference between 10vs10 and my proposed 5vs5 short war.
