Yes, while I know there are some different skin changes when you level up your troops, but they all look the same at that level. What I'm proposing is having 1-2 alternate skins for your troops, perhaps just to personalize or add small additional effects.. In the army viewing screen, you can select troops and change their uniform/appearance, and the change applies to all troops of that type. Any effects to troop reskins are very small, and not meant to change how the troops are used. Here is an beta list of the possible troop reskins, as well as their effects.
BARBARIANS
Blue uniform, no change.
Red uniform, does 1.1x damage to enemy troops.
ARCHERS
Black cloak, no change.
Sky blue cloak, arrows appear blue-tinted.
GIANTS
Green clothes, no change.
Club in hand, different attack animation.
GOBLINS
Blue clothes, no change.
White clothes, .9x damage received from Mortars.
BALLOONS
Balloon has bones on it, no change.
Balloon has rainbow print on it, +1 movement speed.
WIZARDS
Royal blue and scarlet striped robe, no change.
Stars and moon against black robe, magic spells appear darker.
HEALERS
White clothing, no change.
Halo on head, 1.1x heal power.
DRAGONS
Red scales here and there, no change.
Plated armor, .95x damage taken.
PEKKAS
Glowing armor, no change.
Monochrome armor, attacks have beams of light added to the animation.
