Question about Archer queen during war attack

I just ran a war attack and am confused at what happened. I destroyed 99% of the base and my Archer Queen(level 20) had slightly over 50% health. She starts to attack the level 7 tesla(last object left) and it's close enough to Zap her. I understand the radius of attack, I'm good with it. My concern is, the tesla was on it's last tiny bit of health, just as my AQ was. She shots, it zaps her and she goes numb. However, her last shot, that already left her cross bow, never makes it to the tesla. Is this a glitch? If not, why do the arrows disappear if they have already been discharged of her cross bow regardless that she is stumped?

I had an issue with my AQ as well this last war I was in. She was standing in front of the town hall, directly next to a wall...just within the attack radius of an archer tower. She had almost full health. Instead of shooting the town hall or positioning herself to take out the archer tower, she stayed in one spot and just started shooting the walls (while being attacked by the archer tower. Not once did she ever attempt to defend herself OR attack the TH. The wall was the only thing that mattered to her. It was the difference between a 94% 2 star attack and a 94% 1 star attack (which is what I ended up with.) very frustrating.
