Hi Supercell,
I would request you to please make Dragons more aggressive so that they attack the defence rather than going for storages while they are being attacked by Wiz or Archer Tower and Air Defence. Its really frustrating that you leave drags with a plan and instead of attacking the defence they attack the storages.
If there are any tips or anything that can help would request you to please help.
If they went straight for defenses then they would be way OP
Dragons are already strong at th8 and below, targeting defended would make them hugely overpoweredQuote:

Instead of complaining about your dragons and blaming them for not getting 3 stars, either learn how to use them properly, or find a new attack strategy. The choice is up to you. :smirk:
So basically, you want dragons to be like balloons. Targeting defense, splash damage, but you want them to be higher dps and hp. Yes, that would be ridiculously OP.
I think the idea of locking onto defenses targeting you (similar to how troops lock onto opposing troops targeting them) is an interesting one...though the reality is that it makes them even more OP because they'd do around targeting units which hit air only...that's even more OP than making them target defense only (because at least there they'd waste some time hitting ground defenses).
Dragons at th8 are clown shoes. They definitely need work. Th8 needs a TON of work period but that's another thread. I use max drags(lvl3@th8) with 3 max lightning (lvl5@th8). Having ONLY 200 troops at th8 (same amount as th7 BTW) you can't make any ground troops if you want an effective air raid against a max th8 base. And even using the 3 required lightning spells to knock down a lvl 6 air defense (and a nearby Tesla if you're lucky)... the remaining 2 air defenses have no problem wiping an 11 dragon air raid before the dagons reach the air defenses. I use max golems/pekkas/wiz raids against max th8 bases and still lose. The answer is th8 needs more troops. Period.Quote:

Hogs are also amazing at TH8. Stop using "golems/pekkas/wiz raids" all the time (that's called Gowipe btw) and try some hogging. TH8 is fine.

On cored ADs don't try lightning at all; use 3 rage. Cored ADs are bad for dragons but weak if you reach the loons to the core. One rage on loons and voila! All ADs are suddenly, magically destroyed by the ghost of christmas past!
2. 11 dragon raids suffer from great unpredictability and defenselessness. Use 4 or 8 balloons along with your dragons to take out ADs in such a way that the dragons tank for the ADs and ATs and the loons sneak in and take them out. How you plan it out is going to be up to you!
3. GoWiPe (GOlems, WIzards, PEkkas) is not a reliable strategy to 3 star mid TH8s and above. The troops are going to get stuck on walls after the core more often than not. At TH9, its gonna give you 2 stars 90% of the time. So the quicker you stop using it in war, where you are trying to 3 star, the better your game is going to be!
4. TH8s have more troops. HOGS. Level 2 hogs are poop. One TH8 GB turns them to bacon. Get them to level 3 minimum and I recommend getting them to level 4. Any TH8 base can be 3 starred with hogs. Sure its not as easy as TH7 dragons but what's the fun of easy anyway?!?!
Also, Valkyries. They are more situational, but definitely viable and very effective against certain types of bases.
Golems + Hogs. Another attack strategy for those bases you cannot take out with mass hogs or valkyrie armies.
