Idea for Charity Event

Hey guys/girls. I have a great idea for an annual charity event. Hope you like it

I just thought that supercell and all us millions of players are in a great position to come together and hold an annual charity event, here is my idea :)

Please note I know setting it up isn't as easy as 123. Also that it is very bad timing with the update coming. This is just throwing ideas out there atm, SC can decide the best way if they think it may work and they like the idea. Plus once it's set up, the following yrs are a breeze.

So for one day/weekend/week of the year on the gem page there is an link/option to donate to xxx charity (can change each year) if you make a donation of any amount you automatically get the special item....(only one per base)

Now since we all know that the item can't be helpful in anyway as its is a disadvantage to the non donating players. I was thinking maybe a barb statue for the first yr, then every yr it's a new statue which shows how many yrs ppl have been a part of the event. So barb statue, then archer statue and so on.

You do not receive gems or anything but the statue for your donation to the charity. That way SC is only giving their position and time to help which is enough and fantastic in my book, ppl still will buy the gems they need/want.

I have seen this done on my previous game I was hooked on before coc. It ended up being a fantastic event most ppl took part in, which I'm sure will be even bigger with the huge coc community. I think it's a great opportunity for us all to come together and help others just once a year instead of trying to smash each other for gold lol

I am very willing to organise and speak to a charity to help this go even better as I'm sure the coc community will be a huge donating tree. I'm positive I could organise a charity to send someone to Finland and set this up for supercell knowing it will be huge for their charity lol seriously though, I am willing to give up as much of my own time as I need to to help make this work.

Pls let's try to have one thread full of positive replies....let the mods tell us the negative facts.

Any ideas or thoughts would be great..positive of course ;)

Edit: if a mod could add a poll to see if ppl would participate that would be great

I think SC did do a charity event a while back. If you bought gems then you would get this red banner on your TH. But yeah, this idea sounds great! Hope they can implement this

Would definitely like to see this but maybe something more relevant to the charity that they are partnering with or a better indication of donation.

Haha, honestly the only reason I read the whole thing is because of the "its not as easy as 123":p. Anyways, you know how theres the leaderboards for top clans/players, what if SC kept track of the donations and showed us by putting how much has been donated over the top clans/players:smirk:

That would be cool to see, but I'm just hoping something happens to help a charity again but also getting a special item to show u took part :)

Are u saying attractive like the headstones? Lol only joking, I'm happy with anything that shows you helped/participated.
All depends on the charity, for example if it was breast cancer, something pink etc
