Apart from wheat obviously? I'm desperate for the expansion items but they don't ask for wheat often enough so I'm wondering if I should sell them the other crops like corn, carrot, soybean etc. I currently do not sell them anything besides wheat and eggs coz they offer too little.
Give them nothing, because apart from a few measly XP points, they always undercut the selling price anyway... The most 'regular' way to get expansion items is from your pets, believe it or not... I now have the full compliment, and feed them three times a day, and when you whistle them in you get loads of goodies - lem's, bem's, and sem's.... I know they are random, but I sell all my land expansion items anyway now... You even get saws and axes to boot...
The only other way is to trawl every ad on every page, in every DD... It's a pain, but worth it now and again...

They are real pests. I've had mine hostage for Almost 2 months now. There is a taken prisoner thread here somewhere. Anyway I think they are like the armadillo that came to our house some winters back we gave him food and water finally gave him a Name because he never left. :)
I only ever sell wheat to them, and the occasional glut of corn or carrots if I'm drowning in them and I don't want to wait for a sale in the shop to clear out the silo. I'd rather fill my shop with wheat and put an advert up to get rid of it than sell to those skinflints!!
The prisoner thread is in the off topic section... There's could be a competition going on as to who can keep 'em there the longest... lol.

HAHA we really do hate them dont we? i wished they'd come less often, and stop asking for things we dont have!
john - i didnt know whistling to them will get you expansion items! i only have one horse which i feed regularly. how many times do you have to whistle though before the items drop?
I think John's referring to calling them for food with the whistle, which works just the same as tapping on them when they're sleeping. No extra items unfortunately :(

I always sell what I can, when I can to the visitors, as long as I have a decent stock of the item. Most of the time they just ask for crops or animal products which are quick to remake anyway. The reason I sell is partly for the XP but mostly because I'm working towards the Patronage 3 achievement.
