Please note that the clan merger subforum has been removed as of now!
The reason to this is that the subforum was quite unnecessary and caused clans to create duplicate threads. This way, the threads in the "Looking For Clanmates" section will be recognised much more too!

Picture's kinda small....I'm sorry about that.
Might as well remove the Clan talk forum and merge into the "looking for" Subforum. That's the bulk of this forum anymore. Has to be a full time job for the mods moving threads to the right spot. Don't envy them at all.

As leader of a clan, I recently spend several hours writing a post for Clan Merger that was directed at other Clan Leaders and Officers about our clan strategy to merge with another clan. The content of that post was very different from the content of our normal recruitment post which was targeted at individual players that are looking for a new home.
Those forums had very different purposes and should exist independently.
Also, I no longer have access to my merger post that I spent a long time drafting.
Why are you trying to "fix" something that was not broken???

We are a level 8 clan with 238 wins looking to merge with another clan.
You are a level 5+ clan of 5-25 people.
What we offer to the other clan is...
Our reason for wanting to merge is....
Of view on officers of the merged clan is that responsibility should be shared...
Our standards for he average player is... (less strict then for 1 person)
and so on targeted at Officers representing a clan.
For Individuals:
Looking for TH8-TH10
Minimum requirements are...
Application process is....
GroupMe & ClashCaller required.
This is the first time in 2 years that we are looking to add more then 1-2 players at a time.
Just restore the old forum....
I am constantly posting i merge forum and it should have its separate section. I have had 2 successful mergers from this section and it is a good way to get a group of attackers that are more reliable than individuals.
I also agree that this isn't a good idea a clan merge has recently worked out for us. Trying to recruit single members is becoming harder and harder especially for a new clan. Members are looking for level 5+ clans seeing it as an holy grail level. Disappointing to see this today I always check the 'Clan Merges' section and try and make us stronger. I'm glad that we got that merger before this happened. No help for lower level clans what so every good work.
So now are merge posts supposed to just get lost in the noise of the Looking For Clanmates forum?
How unhelpful that is for those of us who are specifically looking for merger situations, NOT individual players.
Please put the merger forum back. It seemed to be pretty low traffic in the first place so I don't see how it could have been such an issue to moderate.
Spent a lot of time last night making a post in the clan merger section. Reading and rereading to make sure it was perfect..

Its mainly a place for people to recruit for their clans, most clans such as the people upset above are looking to recruit in mass quantity. I agree with the mods, such a tiresome job to deal with I bet.
Terrible idea they serve two different purposes and avenues for clans and players to explore other clans.
