Clan Ban for war deserters

I'm just interested in the things said on this topic.

Ways to help each other with clans and all to help prevent any clan issues. This thread is to NOT target a single person it's to just try and help better clans for when those who leave during war.


I'm glad you guys are giving your opinions truly I like it.

I would rather have a clan-ban tag that stays with a player permanently, so they can't change their name and sneak back into any clan that kicked them out.

We've kicked out players for being inactive for too long, and those players are welcome back as long as they stay active. However, we've kicked out a few others for a variety of other reasons, and those players are definitely NOT welcome to return. A method to ban that player's ID would be helpful, to ensure the player is gone for good. Fortunately, they can only change their name once, and keeping track of ID numbers isn't easily done.

I don't think it's a good idea to have a player black-listed for all to see, because the feature could potentially be abused. A bad fit in one clan may be a good fit in another clan.

If you have a bunch of people with 2-1 ratios in the clan, I think there will have to be others with a much lower ratio just based on math. In our clan we don't expect our lowbies to have really high ratios, because I (as a maxed TH9) don't really want their lvl 2 wiz or lvl3 barbs anyway. Your TH10's and 9's should all have 2-1 ratios, and your TH5's should be the opposite. That's just how we do things anyway, other clans probably have their own rules...


{And to the OP, it's fine, there is absolutely no need for a "clan ban" option. If you consistently have problems with war deserters it's your clan that's the problem, nothing else.}

You are exactly right. This is how it should work in a clan. But in the very beginning, people need to be competing with one another so the leadership can see who is actually trying and who isn't. I am willing to bet that the op has zero th9+ in his clan. Maybe even zero th8s. At this point, people just need to learn to be good clan members, and keeping up with donations is part of that. You are right, it is impossible for everyone to keep a 2:1 ratio, but those that try will usually work out well.

Wait wait hold up.

What are you implying that I don't have th9s?

You clearly don't know my clan. We do have 9s and soon more 10s. We do indeed have a 10 and upcoming new 10s thank you very much. You need to watch what you say if you don't know anything but having to bet.


I can also bet youre a clan hopper or spy as well is why you're taking offense to this drastically.

Lol, no. I have run a very successful clan for the past 18 months, same clan, lots of original people. You don't need to take my advice if you don't want to, but I have run a successful clan. Have you?

Actually I do know how to run. It's the matter of getting people aND all understand and feel good with changes that come. Not the mean type I actually treat my guys good and with respect. When I have to be absolute strict then I shall. I respect all.


I do plan to make changes big time as its a level 7 clan.

Nearly half the clan is "new", that is weird? I don't get your clan at all. You have nearly 50 war wins, L7, good donations, but can't keep members? Something is off...

Thays why as a Co I'll be taking over how we run from now on if it's meaning to heavily improve on loyals.

True the ban would stop spies but then that's clan wars. But people could abuse it and if someone wants to check on another clan and the leader doesn't want them to leave they can just have war all the time and nobody will be able to leave then people will troll and be kicked instead of getting the ban

Your clan has all sorts of war issues.

1. Your war attacks suck. They just do. You guys need to be using mass dragons against th7s and th8s.
2. Most of your war attacks are barch. Barch is not a strategy for war. If you can barch a base in war, you just attacked too low. (but you are failing with barch anyways...)
3. No one donates. I have spent 4 hours in the clan and I have almost 300 donations.
4. People can't choose an attack correctly. A th8 should never attack a th4 in the beginning of a war.(or ever really, unless a clean up is REALLY needed).

I can show you some war strategies, but I will not run your clan for you. You need to get Geo on board too. Believe me, you are not losing because of deserters. You are losing because people aren't putting effort into their attacks. A th8 should never, ever be using Giant/healer for a war attack. Neither should a th7. These are strategies that you need to stop at th6. I will be back tomorrow to watch the rest of the war attacks (my battery died). Someone needs to make me elder so I can bring in a th7 to show you guys how to properly mass dragon.
