Sadly, if you ever spent money on your village, the purchase receipt is needed to recover it. As you said, it protects the village from the bad guys and sometimes from the distracted owner.Quote:

Treasure your iPod4 and make a full backup with iTunes (not iCloud backup). This backup will let you access that village again on the device it is restored too.
Durign that time, trying to get back to the lost Apple ID.

test first with your iPad, see if you get the same village back without going through Game Center.
I haven't reset my device in a while, used to work for me at least.

iTunes back up is a back up of your device on the computer, basically all documents on the device is copied to computer and you can restore the back up to your device later or to a new device (copy all those document back). Even without your issue with supercell games, having a backup is handy for documents on your device. You can read more about iTunes back up with apple device on the internet.
It is not related to supercell games, you only need an iTunes account.
I'd imagine you'd have to have the original apple account...or is it like a copy and paste sort of thing?

HOW did you backup?
I backed up my iPod. After it copied everything down, I switched to my iPad then hooked it up. And then restored it. It said copying clash of clans. And the clash of clans app is waiting to be installed.Quote:

What did you do? from my post suggesting a backup (step by step)? I need to know if there are any potential issue that my future steps can mess up.
I can back my iPod up when I get home. I already made a back up but it might be different. I encrypted it and backed it up. Just tell me what I should do to make sure I have the correct settings/steps. And I can factory reset my iPad if need be. And when I tried to copy it. It saaid some data from apps couldn't be copied onto my iPad. But I didn't think it meant clash of clans specifically.Quote:

Not a cloud backup, cloud backup does not save app data which is what you want.

I can open the app on my iPad but it pops up the same village. Tried to back it up again. Encrypt it. But the same thing happens. Tried to delete the app and do it again but the same thing happened. Signed out of all the accounts on my iPad and iPad (thinking the accounts would somehow link the the device, like my new village connecting to the Game Center it was on. Etc.) Okay, please make sure you have all private data (picture, contact, email, music...) stored safely elsewhere.
:: iPod4
- connect to iTunes on your computer
- In the backup option, choose "To this computer" and push the button "Bacck Up now". let's not encrypt it this time, jsut to see if the method works first.
Once done, this is a backup that contains your village from iPod. Don't do anything to your iPod yet, you will need to secure this backup later (more to come once you got the village to iPad, if it does not work let's not bother).
:: iPad
- connect to iTunes on your computer
- in the backup option, choose "Restore backup" and choose the iPod backup to restore.
- open Clash and check the village.
Those are the big lines, depends on your iOS version you will need to desactivate "Find my iPad" and some other stuff.
Does this sound like what you have done? With no success?

Yes, that's the idea, transfer data from iPod to iPad. Don't do anythign to your current Clash app on any device. A full restore mean it will replace/overwrite the current data on iPad.Quote:

Some apps that are designed for iPod/iPhone only cannot be transfered to iPad. Clash is universal and should be transferred.Quote:
