too easy since Gem Boxes randomly spawn on the outside where there is no thought to protect them
i do like the current system in that gems are the resource that is entirely safe from multiplayer conquest

Do you realize how many dead bases etc that would just spawn gem boxes for the community, would be nice to have insane amounts of gems available to every one (not really). Anyways this would unbalance the game and is nothing more than a dream.
I heard a rumor once that when you beat the game you can attack gem boxes. Guy's name was Peter something or other.

Yep, I agree that they shouldn't be able to be stolen.
What if you just set your last builder working on an upgrade and then you get a gem box, with no builder free for 4 days?
Or what about people who work, or schoolchildren? Should they be punished by having gems removed by other players simply because they don't spend 24 hours a day on the game?
