In-app notification settings

Add notification settings within the game. Specifically:
1) Notifications on/off
2) Notification sound on/off

Other potential options can include vibrate, LED, and/or specific notification events.

Complaint: Clash of Clans is the only game that uses push notification sounds I've played that does not offer the ability to turn notification sounds off within the game, and is the only app (game or otherwise) with push notifications that I've encountered that actively relies on the Android system controls to turn off Notifications altogether.

My personal desire: Turn off notification sounds. That's all I want to do. I still want to know when something has finished upgrading, but there's no reason my phone should be playing a sound for it.

i think OP wants to be able to modify COC's notification settings in itself only and not in the system's notification settings.

I completely agree tlynnjpeg, I am happy with the notification tions.Ideally I would want the option to choose what I receive.
I just want to be able to toggle the vibration (in my case) aspect of it on or off for each notification option.
So the Android settings toggle on/off is not really a solution for me.

If you have your notifications set to vibrate, don't they all vibrate? Or does the clash notification beep? If the clash notification beeps when the phone is on silent, that is messed up.

This would be nice and I would support it but I am unsure of how much server space this would cost.

Yes! It would be good to disable the notifications. I think it's not that much work to do it.

But you can already do this by turning them off through Settings.

I will also add that it is poor practice to rely on system settings to disable notifications. See the Android developer article on best notification practices in 5.0+.

That should be reason enough to put the controls in-app. Always strive for the best! (And please take this request/complaint in that context: to continue improving the quality of the app.) The system controls to disable notifications should be a last resort of a ♥♥♥♥♥♥-off user that wasn't given the control in the first place.

I don't understand why you can't use the system settings. Do android devices not let you change settings for each different application?
