I can only hold 150 at the moment and I'm sitting at 1100 -1200 trophy range. I tend to go for:
1 healer
6 giants
5 wallbreakers
15 goblins
rest barbarians
I only recently started using this but it is actually very very efficient. Just gotta find a town with little or no air defense and very bunched archer towers or very distant. This way you can send in the giants as cannon fodder, sneak the wallbreakers in and get straight in there, then back the giants up with some barbs,deploy the healer once the nearest defense against her is out, then the rest of the barbs. The healer can hold almost all of the troops at max health for the 2 minutes of battle, providing they're bunched so you don't have to worry about splash damage. Then after a few more defenses are out i spread the goblins around exposed resource pumps/mines and gather the rest of the good stuff. Had a 2-3 star win on every town i've raided since using this.

works every time, its overkill sometimes, but i don't really care, i don't take this game seriously enough to have a well thought out raiding force :p and i usually keep searching til i find a 150k gold and 150k elixir camp, which takes a while sometimes but is worth the effort

First I go for the exterior defense buildings with archers at one side, mostly at the strongest defense spot.
While the defense buildings are distracted by archers i send in 5-6 wallbreakers right after the mortar hits in so the wallbreakers will survive. they are going to bomb a hole in the outer and inner wall structure and then i release my giants to take out the most valuable part of the enemies defense.
when this has happened i normally start spamming archers or i repeat these steps to take out the remaining defense buildings. in the majority of cases this is the right time to lean back and chill while your army flattens the town and achieves 3 stars for you.

I use the following:
12 lev5 giants (3 per barracks)
12 lev5 wall breakers (3 per barracks)
remaining troops 50/50 lev 5 barbs and archers
rage spell/heal spell if needed
I drop giants to get attention of defence. I then use wall breakers (usually not all needed) and the giants go in. I then follow up with sequences of barbs and archers to mop up and get res.
I have dragons and healers but havent really used them as they take too long to train and use too much space. I'm upgrading them and might try them later.
