I've seen somewhat similar ideas but not exactly like this.
Have you ever made a war base and wanted to really test it out in a war type scenario but not risk throwing it into a real war? Ever wanted to have players from all over with different skill sets and levels take on your base to find its weaknesses and strengths? I submit the idea of a proving ground. My idea would go something like this;
You can take a base you've made and for a fee of gold or elixir or DE submit it to the "Proving Ground". In the proving ground your base will be open to attack but without the possible resource loss or negative/positive outcome in war. You can set which town hall levels you want to attack your base. They come in and select thier troops and attack your base. You would get statistics on how well your base fared.
Perhaps the attackers have to pay a fee to enter the proving grounds. It would give players practice on attacking and on base building. You could refine bases, hone attack stratagies ect. Give the attacker like 2-5 minutes to think about thier attack. Give the option of showing replays in chat. Throw some cool achivements in there like win streaks or defensive streaks.
Thoughts on this idea? Refinements of the idea?
