Ways to help clans better identify potential hoppers

Now, I have ANOTHER clan which I didn't stay long in. Eventually, just because I joined a few clans that turned out to inacive, or racist, or some other third reason which made me left, it looks like I'm a hopper, and no clan will accept me.

I hear you and I don't disagree. That's why I recommended the history be rolling. So worst case scenario a person can stay in a less than ideal clan for a couple weeks to re-establish 'credibility'. And eventually, the 'hopping history' will roll off and no one will ever know you once visited 10 clans in 6 minutes.

I also agree with the wait 1 week method. Works charms. However, the flip side of that is I may take 10 new members in my clan over the course of a day and they all hop out, complete waste of my time. Where if I have some statistical backing I may be able to quickly filter through the obvious hoppers (some of which would fall into your scenario - which is unfortunate).

The statistics don't lie, but, as you point out, they don't tell the whole truth either. It's an imperfect system and always will be. I just think it can help a little.

I just recently found myself in a racist clan and hopped right out after being there all of a few minutes....and they took me to war no less. So on top of being a hopper, I am a war time deserter. Oh well, if it causes me that much trouble I can wait a few weeks and start over. The moral of the story is I should have done better homework (which is why I have arrived at the forums!)

You lose more good players than hoppers by keeping people sitting on the bench for even one war. Best course is to only take the number of new players to war that you can overcome if they all fail to attack or do more poorly than expected.

I favor the idea that a players war history be part of their profile for many reasons. This would include the name of the clan they were part of for each war. Lots of consecutive wars with the same clan would be a good indicator that someone is not a hopper.

I disagree. With the shortage of good clans around, the majority of good players will willingly wait a week to war if your clan is well run and not riddled with foul mouthed 8-year-olds. In my opinion, if a new player won't wait at least one war, then they aren't invested enough in the long-term of the clan.

I actually prefer to wait when I join. I usually opt out when I first join a clan so I can see how they operate and see if they are worth my time. I guess I could observe the same thing by participating, but that just happens to be my preference.
