Private messages between players

I think there should be a feature that allows you to privately message individual players in your clan, or outside of your clan. For example: if you want to message someone privately in your clan about something about another clan member you should be able to. Also it would be a better way to give out information. For example: we have a kik conversation for leaders in my clan. And you want to give a kik username without others knowing a quick private message would work perfectly for that.
For private messages outside of your clan. I think it would be a good idea to use for recruiting. For example: if you're in a global chat with someone, and you have a nice conversation with them and they suddenly lose connection, or not paying attention. A private message to the users profile would be a great method to use to get someone's attention. It should also work from one clan to another clan as well. For the same reasons.
To prevent from spamming, you can only send 1 message at a time and you wouldn't be able to send another message to that person until they reply.
I asked around my clan and they all agree this would be a great feature to the game.

I hope you guys consider this feature in the future, and I'd love to see it in a future update.

I started playing in the last few weeks and agree, many mmog's that i have played, that seem to bring clan members closer and allow players to get to know each other better, creating more loyalty and more commitment to the game, have private chat features...i think it would best be done with a follow and accept ability to limit those who would spam/abuse private messages. This ability would let you follow or accept follows by selecting a players profile and hitting a follow button which either puts them in a "following"/"followers"/"friends" group with the "friends" group giving you a list of those you can privately chat with...i'd also make sure to have the ability to unfriend/unfollow if you feel the need to later. I believe this would be a great feature both strategically for communication and organisation but also to improve the social level of gameplay immensely.

I think supercell doesn't want private message to prevent abuse/harassment. So you can attack someone, then message them after destroying them, or trash talk in wars, etc. I understand that private messaging is big in many other games, but there is also a lot of trash talk and such so they limit all that my not allowing messages.

I Don't see that changing in the future.

exactly why i put in the part about being able to follow and unfollow... you can only be abused in private chat if you choose to keep them as a friend otherwise block and they're gone never to harass you again

Thousands of people will spam top players and it will bring flamewars to the game where immature people will pm other players insulting them.
