Inactive leader work around

dear clash of clans.
a quick scan of the posts will show you that we need a dormant leader work around. It is spoiling the game and will just drive clashers to other games - after all that is where the leaders have disappeared to. What you also get is a build up of other co leaders within the clan that also go dormant and cannot then be demoted or kicked out. This slowly kills the clan as in clan wars they cannot compete due to members not turning up to fight.

So please... Once and for all address this issue. Ideas

1. A dormant leader button allowing a co-leader to take temporary command until the dormant leader returns.

2. The ability for the leader to predetermine co leader/s to take command in the event of the leader going dormant.

3. Temporary leader - the leader can pass on leadership to a designated person in the event of the leader going on holiday - taking exams etc. give them power of leader except the ability to delete the leader.

4. Deputy leader status permanent. Gives the deputy the ability to do all the leader can without ability of deleting leader.

5. Automatic demotion. You want people to come back regularly. If the leader disappears for an agreed length of time without returning the leadership automatically goes to - designated deputy, longest serving co leader, clan vote.

im sure you can all come up with your own. The point is COC you have to make it clear with one of the above or something similar that if you do not play you're there face the possibility of losing your status or you must appoint a new leader/deputy to administer the clan in your absence. DONG NOTHING IS NOT AN OPTION.

improve the game for evryone including yourselves. You will improve your active gaming numbers with this.

co leader has enough power to keep clan running (especially starting wars and all)

if you don't like that the leader is afk leave and make a new clan

Interesting but I don't think 5 is a good idea since it could be used to overtake clans. I don't really like 3 either, the rest are pretty interesting though.

Dont think this is needed. SC support can promote to leader the next longest and highest ranked player after 3 months of leader inactivity.

Sc can promote???????? so we have to contact support right?

Yes but the leader has to be inactive for at least 3 months. There are also cases that support cannon help.

I can't remember who it was (a frequent poster) contacted SC support asking about this after a mod stated they thought this was an "unwritten rule".....support stated they don't do this.
