3 updates that I am pretty sure everyone could agree would make the game better
First off, I am new to the forum (this is my first post!), and so please forgive me if this is misplaced, mis-categorized, or is repeating what others have already said.
As everyone waits in anticipation for the October update, there are plenty of great ideas and speculations floating around. The nature of most of these speculations are "game changing" and pivotal to the long term success of the game (i.e, TH11, hero updates, heroes active during war whilst upgrading, spell updates, etc). This post is not about "those" kinds of updates. Rather, there are 3 subtle and minor changes that I don't see how anyone could disagree that it would make a better gaming experience overall.
Ok, here they are:
1. When our attacks get "disconnected" (especially during war), cause the attack to go "on hold" for a 2 or 3 minute "grace period", allowing the attacker to log back on and resume the attack at the exact moment it got disconnected. I know what some of you are thinking: "Get a better internet connection you idiot!" But, it seems to me that it isn't just me that this "occasionally" happens to. It probably happens to me once out of every 20 attacks. But it also seems to happen to everyone in my clan every so often too. I could be mistaken, but COC seems to be more susceptible to disconnects than other apps.
I would at least implore Supercell to perform some analytical analysis on disconnects--how often do disconnects happen, amongst which groups, and when they happen to see if this is worth justifying outside of this measly little post. Of course, I may be one of only a fraction of other players that this happens to on a semi-consistent basis. But somehow I doubt it. Can anyone attest?
2. Give players credit for filling war castles by including them in the "Troops Donated" count. When evaluating which clan members are donating their fair share of troops, there is currently zero visibility as to who has donated to the war castles. I see no reason this should be the case. War castle donations are just as important, if not more important than 'regular' donations. There are always 2 or 3 individuals who end up filling all the war castles and get zero credit for doing so. Is there a rationale for this? I don't see how there possibly could be. If anything, those filling war castles should get just as much credit if not more, since their donations contribute to the well being of the whole clan. In addition, giving credit to war castle fillers will encourage others to particpate.
3. This goes hand in hand with #2....Provide a log of who donated to you and what they donated (perhaps with a 24 hour rolling history). I am sure many of you can relate to the frustration you experience when you see a request that says "Max Golem for war please" and you then see that their CC is filled with 6 out of 30 spaces. Or, you go to fill the war castles and occasionally find that someone has taken it upon their self to donate wall breakers. Maybe 5 or 10 new people are in the clan, and all are silent as to whether they are guilty. It is extremely aggravating when people blatantly ignore what is requested, but what is possibly more aggravating is that there is almost zero visibility on who donated what. Unless you are staring at your screen at the time someone donates to you, you have no idea who it was. There should be some modicum of transparency to those who donate.
Thoughts?
