How to stop spies

I know this raises some questions some deem it ok some do not. Personally I do not like it and see it as a form of ♥♥♥♥♥ing. To counter this problem myself and some clan friends were talking and an idea was made that maybe supercell could add into the game that new members cannot see bases until they have been promoted to elder status or higher. This would stop someone joining your clan snapping pics of all the war bases and then leaving??? It's a pretty simple idea and we are sure that it could easily be done.

You could just close your clan during clan wars.
Problem solved. No need to waste time on something they have already solved.
End of story.

yeah true but some leaders want to have there clan open for new and good members to join

Yes that's a valid point but we have found that even with clan closed people still seem to able to send requests to join and all it takes is for someone to click on accept esp if we are having a recruitment drive as mentioned and they are in. Having this feature would put a stop to people even trying to spy so you know all people wanting to join are genuine.

Thats invite only. I said closed. Only people who can join are those youve already invited.

If your clan is set to closed, you can't receive requests to join

Very true. Open it back up when you have the war locked or you know you cant win. Most recruiting is done right around then end of a war. People looking to join seem to want to war right away and not wait. If they have to wait they leave.
So the solution is done and the leader have to work a bit vs let supercell do it for them.

We have been set to closed and for some reason still had requests. We generally do not send out invites. Also as previously mentioned by other poster why should we have to close if we want genuine people to join esp for clans who war constantly when can you ever be open?? This would allow people to have their clan however they want without the risk of spies coming in surely that is better than having to keep toggling clan settings???

I guarantee you that there is no way for someone to join/apply to join if the clan is closed. Im sure that you get applications the clan is set to invite only.

2 of the clans im in we have no problem recruiting and we are always at war. 45v45 I might add. We have maybe 30 solid people and others change sometimes . We lose a few and add a few each war.
For some reason others have figured out how to get rid of spying and recruit good people. It can be done under the current situation. Just because others havent figured out how doesnt mean they need to change the game.
