TL;DR
Storage loot on your war base during war day is modified to reflect your war weight; nothing more is modified on your war base, or any other bases for that matter.

OP is either the best troll or is completely out of his mind thinking SC is placing traps around bases to 'keep things interesting'
Seeing your responses to those who have given you the best answers to your conspiracy theories is mind blowing that you continue to argue with them.
Yes war loot storage is altered because its war. And loot available to be stolen is based on the ranking. As many have said. If you still dont understand.. myself and many others have rendered you hopeless in understanding this topic..
Good luck all.

I understand your point Thomas - but I don't think it's very likely Supercell are changing the bases you attack to mess with you, partly as I don't see any reason they would need to do so (given trophy matching, loot penalty, shield etc and all the ways they explicitly use to keep us balanced). Partly as I don't see how they would code this and avoid anomalies that would show up quickly in replays.
Two implementation choices I could see:
1) All the attacks you see in your defense log are really faked up attacks and you attacking against fake bases. Computers are still pretty bad at pretending to be human, especially when powered by my puny phone cpu so I'm pretty sure folks would have spotted this by now.
2) The defense replay is based on the troop placement the human attack player made, but you see your trap and building placement, while they see different traps and buildings. Given the engine at the back here that's actually sort of viable technically, although it would be a double load on the cpu, but you'd see loads of weird stuff which would show up over time I think. Any long attack in particular would get really weird, as 'your' view and 'their' view would be rapidly diverging - spells would be dropped miles away from troops, extra troops would be dropped in empty space/ignored while exposed to weapons, hero's would ability early/late. Spells and the AQ would show this up really badly I think as well as any specialist troops like hogs, or loons. I also think it couldn't be happening in war as there you have stars/damage stats and can't possibly be getting different results for those, so the effort to sync two different replays to the exact same result would be beyond a phone (tbh I'm not sure how reliable it would be even with a lot of compute power). Overall I'd be very surprised if people didn't notice this sort of thing over time.
Does that help convince you at all? I feel bad you are wandering around convinced that your phone is picking on you at the behest of an evil Finnish coding mastermind ;)

I can clear this up easily. The answer is no. :)
