War base loot has nothing to do with loot you raid and keep in your storages.
War storages are on different loot system.

Your available loot in storages for war attacks has never been tied to your regular base. It's always been tied to the strength of the base. If it didn't then you would see some people only attacking those that have some thing in their storages to go along with the bonus loot.

As for the other part no they don't. You can watch a replay of the attack on your base. You would clearly know if they changed your layout for the attacker

I highly doubt it.

Watch your replays, you will see that all your traps are triggered where you placed them.
Unless your next theory is that SC changes replays too :saywhat:

how would one confirm or deny that your replay is exactly the same replay of the person you attacked unless you go thru the ridiculous actions I expressed earlier

So if you understand why they "alter" the amount of loot in your storages for war, I don't follow your logic in "raising the possibility" that SC does this for regular raiding as well.

Why would they "alter" your raiding base, there is no "raid weight" calculation being done when raiding, so what would be the point?

The ignorance blinds me.
Given a base MOST people tend to attack it the same way because some ways are better than others. You don't want two inferno towers attacking at the same time so most people attack where they hit the first inferno tower and then the second.

Given that there are probably only a few good ways to attack (and after dozens of attacks on my base I know exactly where most people attack from), you can position your traps perfectly to screw up their attack.

There is no conspiracy here, Supercell don't change bases 'to keep things interesting' or for any other reason.

Okay but what about when people attack you, if you propose that it could happen to someone's base you attacked. Then why cant it happen to yours when someone attacks you.
