Congratulations on reaching number 1.
However, I don't think they will give a reward. After all, many different players reach number 1 frequently. Rewarding them all would not be ideal.

Jealousy must be one side of the hating, not for reaching the spot, but probably more the fact that OP has the means to do so i.e. time and money that others might not have.
The other side is imo the idea of boasting, which makes them feel less worth;
in this case it is the haters' ego that is being hurt ;)
That said, more than one thread about it is maybe a few too many, and then I'd like to point out that there is a sub forum for boasting achievements and sharing epic fails and it is not 'general' ;)
In any case: Congrats to your achievement, it still is awsome! and if you're still no1 at season end you will get a badge of some sort: It will say in your profile that you finished first at the end of the October '15 race.
As to ClashCon, true meet and greet legends is certainly an incentive, and SC have actually done that by inviting mods and YT's! If their choice didn't fall on forumers or top players who do not have a YTchannel, then that is up to them.
Have Fun

There will be only sponsorship for players that provide an advertisement benefit for example a clan could put advertisement in the clan description. Youtubers may get sponsorship if they mention it on Youtube, but sponsoring a player secretly makes no sense.
