Prioritise the heroes, the other troops will come in time from the laboratory. If you are a strong farmer, you will anyway get the DE back for the golem in 4 days :smirk:

If you war, golems are way more important than 1 hero level IMO
If you have that much DE sitting around do both heroes. Then farm and start golems in 4 days. If you don't think you can farm enough for your level 4 golems in 4 days maybe just upgrade one hero.
I agree that level 4 golems will help more than one hero level. Eventually you will need level 4 golems and that DE has to come from somewhere.
I would definitely do the heroes first
