It's designed perfectly, if you want to get a reward for defeating bases based on base strengths you can war. If you do it your way, then trophies are meaningless because the highest players are just going to endlessly beat up high bases and have an infinite amount of trophies, thus making trophies completely meaningless. The trophy system works because the higher you climb the harder trophies are to get. You guys complain that it's "broken" because it's hard to climb, but that's the point of the system, to make it hard to push.
