Unfair Trophy System?

Hey guys first post! New to this forum so bare with me.

I had a weird question or worry about how the trophy system actually works because it seems impossible for me to get ahead so I'll spit a situation at you.

I am an (almost) at max TH8. Only about 60 walls to go so I decided that I would push the trophy game a bit. I was pretty comfortable at the 1500 trophy mark but it wasn't getting me the loot I needed so I pushed up to Master league for the big win bonuses. Let me tell you it was hard. I tried every start I could find and realized that the go wipe was the best for me since it uses a lot of de and regular elixir to keep it down. My problem is I can't acquire trophies at any solid rate. I can attack nine or ten times a day and only get 2-5 trophies at a time. And don't say I'm attacking low bases because most of the ones that are even worth attacking are mid level th9's. Anyway, I'm not getting anywhere because even though I attack better bases on higher town halls I can't get trophies. I win, but get one trophy even at a 2 star. Now that I spent 5 attacks getting 20 trophies, this OP town hall 9 with max troops(for a town hall 9 anyway) wreck me and take 30+ of my trophies. Even when they are in a higher league/have more trophies they still get a large amount.

So my question is, when I attack higher bases/higher town halls above my league I get like 3 trophies, but when they attack me and obliterate me, they get 20+. It's irritating, so please help me understand.

Trophy system is broken, and it's been broken for years. They won't fix it.

The trophy system is not broken, you're just higher in trophies than pretty much all TH8s and most TH9s, so it's very hard to find high trophy bases to hit.

The number of trophies offered is not based on TH level, it's based on the difference between your trophy count and the count of your opponent. You need to find a TH8 or weaker TH9 that is higher than you in trophies to get a good offer. The problem is that not many of those exist, and when they pop up, someone (like me) raids them and gives them a shield.

I'm a max defense TH9 in M1/C3, and I almost never see a TH8. I very rarely see a TH9 that's offering reasonable trophies, and it's even rarer to find one that's worth hitting.

only advise i can give is leave your th in the corner and hope for a snipe and only lose a thrid of your trophies , dont try to trap it make it very clear that it is not trapped (right in the corner decorations around it) if you dont do this your asking to be smashed, there are alot of th9 and th10 out there that will wreck your base because its an easy win. Im a maxed th9 and I always leave th in corner either if im pushing or farming. Dont get upset if someone 3 stars your base except its going to happen and you'll be a happier clasher :)

Fplant is right. The trophy system is not to blame, it's your town hall level. You're much higher than the majority of your peers. The same effect happens even to TH10s at a much higher trophy level.

To everyone saying trophy system is unfair. May I ask how is it unfair to you? Thanks.

Thats inacurate. I pass on plenty of th8 in the matchmaking. They could be in master league, like me, and they can only off about 10k of each resource, no de, and I only get 4 trophies for wasting my time. Then the next one is a crazy th9 with 300k of each and still I only get 2 trophies, assuming I don't blow it. Plenty of other th8's in my league, so that's not the issue.

Post some stats from your recent attacks/defenses, including your trophy count, their trophy count and the number of trophies offered (or the total won/lost and the number of stars).

Again with the th's... jeez you have to understand the lvl of your th means squad when it comes to trophys the only thing thats matter is the trophy count "if you attacks some one with higher trophy count youll get a bigger offer" its that simple it always have been that simple.

Now unless you have pictures im 100% sure the ppol that attack you are lower in trophys than you cuz its the only way you give out 20+ trophys in defense.

And despite what you think or what other ppol say "cuz is fun" etc using that kind of army comp for pushing at ur level and in that range of trophys is usless if you really want to get trophys easy and fast do this.

1.- Get a good war base
2.- Set ur DE on the corner and trap it with all 3 teslas (no bombs or any other trap)
3.- Snipe and use barch.
4.- Never ever go for the loot

Pushing and farming is like having a cake and eating the cake you CANT have both so dont even try

Attached photos show my recent attacks and defends. Attacking during the day never yield too much loot, but that's why I want the match bonus of my league. They are all within my general area either in or one below my league. You see my trophy count as well as my farm strat(clearly no trapping here because I'm a good citizen). So I lose 10 trophies Easton a th star but only gain immensely small amount of trophies, regardless of town hall.
