To buy or not buy builders for real money? - Philosoraptor

imo getting builders doesn't give me that sense of accomplishment. They are a means to an end. So yeah, I bought my last one for like 10 bucks. I don't regret it.

Only thing that gives me a sense of accomplishment in terms of progression is fighting for the loot. The time it takes doesn't give me that so if I had a bunch of money I would gem all my build times.

The 3rd and 4th builder aren't too hard to get. I went ahead and just bought the 5th one as a Christmas gift to myself. It helps a ton once you get into TH7 and 8 territory.

Many good advice with motivation and different opinions is nice to read, thanks a lot.

For some your questions:

As for my stage hmm Im town hall 5 max and on thursday will be town hall 6, yay. ^^ I guess I didnt do much else than farming and war so far. Didnt think much at all about what is called pushing and trophy hunt but some your replies made me think about this could be good idea to delve into. So yes maybe time to think about explore other objective than farming in game. Game seem to have a lot of depth and different ways to approach it which is cool.

I didn't intentionally spend any gems except for on builder 3. But my gems they sometimes disappear because I am a clumpsy so much and misclick when there is no confirmation needed to spend gems on something. Hehe

if u play alot i say u buy gems n support the developers of the game to continue working on it moreso than the gems.

I would definitely not spend real money on buying the builders huts as they are so easy to achieve. If you go to 1250 trophies, you get 450 gems. 2000 trophies = 250 gems. 2600 = 1000 gems. And if you've already spent some of your gems, you may have to go to Champions league, but I still haven't done that and I have all my 5 builders.

Instead of farming, try pushing and see how far you can get. Then once you've got all your builders, you'll be able to farm quicker and more efficiently.

Alternatively, buy gems, become addicted and waste all of your life's income on gems. :D

I can vouch this guy's advice. I have not spent a single dime on this game, and will never I, and I have five builders already. Got all my gems for builders from achievement and Master league achievement.

I think that buying builders with real money, it's the same as paying for "pleasure"

Why paying for something that you can get for free with just a little effort?



Of course, it's just my personal opinion! I respect everyone who pays for builders.

I bought the builders. How many times have I spent $50-60 on a console game? Whats $20 for a mobile game that I've spent countless hours playing?

You gotta look at it from your own perspective. To me, time is precious, money can be earned. I spend $20 here and $20 there, just so I have a few gems to spend when I don't want to wait that last day or two for my lab or heroes. I don't think it's a waste. If I did, I wouldn't do it. That's extra time I get to play with my new spell/troop/whatever. That's more important to me than not spending money. Others look at it another way...their money is very precious to them, and they don't mind the wait.

Tldr, everyone has their own value for money, time, and their sense of accomplishment. Don't let the majority of the forums decide what you should think

I bought the 5th builder with an iTunes gift card from Christmas (was TH7 then). It was nice for a bit, but now that the TH9 wall grind is in full swing I just have a lot of landscapers.
