If you have the money I would recommend buying the builders. As you progress you will find the upgrade times be come MUCH longer and you will be glad to have the extra help. I don't think you will feel any loss of accomplishment doing this. If anything, you will feel more accomplishment because you won't have full storage containers for others to steal from.
If you've already capped the resources, then start to push; climb the leagues and you get free gems there:
and also 450 gems for hitting 1250 trophies
250 gems for hitting crystal
1000 gems for hitting masters
2000 gems for hitting champs
without spending money; just take the game route, I feel that there is no use spending money on a game, because ultimately you'll retire/get bored of the game/ find a better game. So when you move on, the money u invest in this game is lost, and there is no use using gems to gem the time; higher up u go, the more time necessary; like there was 14 days for something. If you gem things for small things like this, undoubtedly u won't have control when you get bigger. Rather than achieving something through the money; I feel better when I play the hard way. Bcz ultimately when u compare ur self with those who gem; it'll give u a better feeling.
So don't gem; just take everything at its normal pace. And by th7 ull probably get all 5 builders- keep collecting the gems from the tree and the gem box, don't spend them. I did that and didn't even have to push to masters. After th8 the game escalates so then u use up the gems u collect; u don't have to buy them.

I started my 2nd account late June. No gems bought. Currently at 1824 gems so 176 short of the 5th builder. I had to push to masters for that which was boring sniping. Still feels good to achieve that wo money.
I cannot remember having to pause farming much tho. All cash goes into walls. I did have to rush to th7 and th8 because my walls were done before the rest. Will need to rush to th9 for the same reason. But the 5th builder wouldn't have changed that much.
Not showing off at all. It's just I read the forum whenever I get the time and noticed that not a lot of players wants to be at the top someday. I've also seen a lot of farmers who maxed their bases and literally just stopped there. Created new accounts and farmed again.Quote:

Waste is such a terrible term. To some, time is worth more than money. To others, money is worth more than their time. To many, time is money. So while so many pride themselves in not "Wasting" money on a game they are so addicted to, those that have get to enjoy more of their free time for other things rather than spending 6+ hours farming every night.
To each their own and if they are getting their values worth for their entertainment budget, none of it is a waste.
6 hours of intense raiding, I could have worked on a project and earned hundreds of dollars during that time.
Spending time or money, in the grand scheme of it, is equivalent exchange...
