Hi. I noticed every time I send an attack all my troops disappear even though they survived the battle. Just asking why they just disappear like that, because what happens to it when it survives the battle?
If they completely vanished, is the whole "attack" thing just about getting given three minutes to destroy as much of the village as possible? So why do they get "expended"?

I guess it's just kinda how it works. But yes I suppose the point would be to destroy most of a base in the given three minutes but most (idk) people only technically try to target resource buildings, not really anything else.

The way this game is designed is that troops, once deployed in a raid, cannot be recovered. This is intentional, and is a major part of CoC gameplay. It's what makes the game unique, compared to others!

If you were able to re-use troops after a battle, you could just use the strongest troops every time with overkill and get them back at the end and do it again right away after.
It would make the whole game unbalanced.
They do this because it makes you use strategy, otherwise people would just spam troops everywhere.

It applies slightly more to higher levels, but:
If survived troops would come back, some players could attack over and over with the same troops without waiting. This implies you need to use troops wisely
And that's the point. Because they are expensive to retrain, you need to use them wisely, and not dump all your troops on an easy base for overkill. If you don't use all your troops, then there is less of a cost to train more. This gets more evident at high levels.Quote:

When the troops are deployed in battle and they fight with their comrades, it scars their hearts as they see their comrades die one after the other.... And as a person who goes to fight, it obviously breaks their heart, it emotionally overwhelms them... And sometimes that makes them stronger; they destroy the base completely or it makes them weaker; they lose in the fight. Nevertheless, regardless of the outcome, they feel that they should remain with those who had died on the battlefield, it would give them honour. They would also be able to remain with their comrades who died, and thus would choose to not return home.
