Ik there have been a ton of threads on this but I searched the title and came up with nothing. Anyway I'm a near maxed TH 9 only some lavas and hero's to go (AQ/16 BK/19). I just can't seem to figure out the best way to farm DE. I've been from S3-M1. I can't seem to find a way to even keep one hero down let alone both. Please give me some direction at this rate I'll be at TH 9 for another year.
Gibarch at C1 - M3 should do the job. DE is plentiful.
I like to use bam in silver 1. Check out Ash's de farming guides it is very good
If you're sitting down for a 2 hour session GiBarch is probably best. If you only get on intermittently during the day Loonion will yield a nice return. You don't have to be too fussy about what bases to attack as it will destroy almost anything. I'm only getting on for short bursts daily and loonion has been netting me approx 20k per day.
Push to champions for the gems, drop down to m1 (but no more than 100 trophies so you keep the champions loot bonus), raid storages for dark elixer using any army you wish and snipe town halls for the loot bonus while you're waiting for your army to train.
Make sure to keep your town hall outside and keep dropping shield so other people can snipe you, to give something back.
You can make 50k a day like this.

GiBarch in the lower leagues, but leave my base alone xD
GiBarchj the Crystal leagues...tons of TH8's with easy DE
I would say GiBarch (Giants, Barbarians, Archers), Balloonion (Balloons, Minions), GiHeWi (Giants, Healers, Wizards, or Super Queen (Archer Queen, 8-10 Healers, 20-30 Minions to funnel.
If you focus on attacking TH8s you can get up to 2k per raid (lootable DE storage cap is 1,8k but they may have in drills or cc) with GiBarch/GiArch/likewise combos with barely spells/heroes used. Troop training time is around 25 mins depending the number of each troop
