I am the same OP. After 3 years the game is incredibly boring. I'm max besides my magma walls, but will never finish them as I don't like farming. I only log in anymore to chat with my friends, do a few donations and my war attacks. If TH11 comes out I'll be done for sure, we need actual new game content, not more levels on things to have to farm.
I played this game for a year and when I got to town hall 10 I found it very boring. I thought about quitting the game but decided to start a new account instead. It turned out to be really fun since I wasn't a pleb anymore and knew what I was doing at the lower town hall levels. War was actually fun since I had never done wars that low before and farming was amazing!
If you want to keep playing and just can't on your current village, I'd recommend making a new one.
I'm glad you enjoy it but I've started 3 other accounts since my TH10 got very high, and they are all boring too. TH6-8 are very boring in war as 3* is automatic to anyone with experience and skill, and TH9 is boring once your heroes get around 20 because you can 3* all the TH9 95% of the time. I tried a .5 account for fun, but it wasn't fun for me either as multiplayer is a nightmare getting looted. I've tried most things now, but once you hit that skill and experience there is nothing left in the game anymore except chatting with friends.
I would much rather SC fix TH10 so it was not horribly broken for all areas of play. Trophy system is broken so pushing is terrible, warring is pointless if you refuse to ♥♥♥♥♥ because it is all about 2* (a bit better now with % destruction), farming has always bored me as beating on lower TH for loot is not strategic or exciting.
Instead of starting new accounts, maybe SC could actually fix current problems so the account I have worked on for 3 years is fun again?
So much negativity here. People are allowed to be disenfranchised with the game...
To the OP, best of luck mate. Maybe a future update will address the things that you didn't like and will bring you back. If not, then there are plenty of other games out there to pass the time. :D
cya......now your just another dead base
The game has lost its cool. "No-one plays clash of clans anymore" is a common response when you ask if someone plays the game. The attrition rate at TH9 and early TH10 has hit our clan over the last few months with guys just disappearing. I have friends maxed at TH10 who have moved on to other games despite their investment in coc. The thought of TH11 coming at Clashcon has actually caused less rather than more excitement........just another grind on its way. There will be stalwart players who are happy to grind away every day to upgrade their bases but no-one is impressed anymore. Clashcon really does need to offer something new or these other games are going to take over, a bit like when the crowd change their allegiance from one bar to another, call it fashion.
I feel the pain of all the posters. I am not quite there but getting there fast (mid th10, 2 years playing, no $ spent). Although I couldn't agree more that a real change would be great, I do not think the metrics SC looks at warrant it. From what I have read the number of players is still growing. They simply will not risk an overhaul when it is unneeded for the vast majority of players. People predict the end constantly but until the numbers support it there will be no change. Unfortunately, at that point it will probably be too little too late because to get attrition greater than uptake there must be a competitor with momentum. For now, it seems first in, first out is ok with SC and sad for those that have invested the time and/or money.
