A friendship system in Clash of Clans

NOTE: sorry if there have been other threads regarding this suggestion that may be similar.

Before you start to read this thread you will need to know the following things:

• "x" - the person who receives the friend request.
  
• "player" - The person who sends a friend request to "x"

This is how I think the friendship system can be implemented in Clash of Clans, very similar to how social medias implement this "system".

Perks to the friendship system:

• Players who are friends would be able to send messages to each other which would appear in the mail icon in-game.
• Allow a way of communicating without having to leave clans or only on global.
• Find out what your friends are doing (typing in global, In the clouds, base-building/editing base, etc.)
• if you find they're more perks than what I am stating feel free to add them in the comment section

In order to add a friend to your friends list you would have to go to their profile and then there would be an option called "Add Friend", "Add Clasher", at the top of the profile page. Once the player sends a friend request to "x", then "x" would receive a notification similar to how players receive a notification such as clan mail. Once the player opens the notification or their mail they would receive a letter stating the person who added you (username), where you came in contact in-game with this user (optional), then followed by two options which would either say "accept friend request", or "deny friend request". It would be optional for the player to make a choice, but if he/she makes a choice then the player who originally sent the friend request would receive a notification if "x" accepted their friend request or not.

Settings for the friendship system

• Enable/disable other friends to see what you're doing at the moment
• Enable/disable the ability for people to add you to their friends list

This'd be nice, but the PM thing would take up too much space and having a friend list...well, wouldn't the top players be constantly spammed w/ requests?

I really like the idea but it may be unnecessary simply because you can use third party apps like kik, groupme, ect. To creat group chats and chats with clan mates and friends.

We need this so badly, please add it.

Check where it says "settings" it gives players the ability to disable friend requests notifications. - Clash on!

Alright, but I do have another qualm: I feel that this could cause more personal relationships (friendships), and there could be a possibility of the release of personal information, which parents probably don't want. I think SC wants to just keep it game, not a social networking site.

I don't think that's the issue here. Like someone already said in the comments section people already use different social networking sites to message their clash of clans buddies (kik, Facebook, etc.) + Same can be said about global or clan chat, quite easy to ask for someones personal information there as-well.
