So I'm a week away from maxing out my TH6 base and I'm wondering whether it would be possible for me to get the Barbarian King without the drill and just by looting? If so do give me some strategies and tips as well on how to accomplish it. Thanks in advance.

I upgraded my barracks to level 9 and use dragon attack on TH 9 and 10 to loot DE. Sometimes can get 1000-1800 DE if lucky.

Or raise them higher and try the lightning spell approach, see full dark elixer storage and drop all your lightning spells, you get the dark elixer, they either surrender or continue the fight.Quote:

very possible and quite easy. Just raise trophies to 1500+ and you can raid normally and collect a good amount of DE. Try not to use any spells when you raid. Then when you come across a TH9 or 10 base with 2000+ DE, just triple lightning spell their DE storage, you should come away with 1000+ DE. But don't attack them with the rest of your troops, save your troops for another fight, unless you think you can reach their DE storage just by raiding normally.
If that is the case, then try to raid them FIRST before using your lightning spells. If you do reach the DE storage, GREAT! You saved your lightning spells for another base :)
Like someone else said, upgrade your DE storage to lvl 2 as soon as you can, so that people who try to use lightning spells on your DE storage can't steal as much.
Oh yea, I'm a maxed lvl 65 TH7, I got my BK to lvl 5 when I was around lvl 55.

It is certainly possible to get BK at TH7 by either raising trophies and raiding for it or by lightning.
The tip I would give is to use your lightning on revenges. When I need to get some DE quickly, I'll walk through my revenge list looking for players who are attackable and have a decent amount of DE to get. You can recon them if you want by viewing their base to be sure where the DE is located, but I typically just lightning away when I find someone with 1k+ DE available.
Since I do this from my revenge list, I do not have to worry about being revenged by these people.
