I have a blinking in and out on my candle maker. I don't know when it started.
Do you mean the entire candle maker disappears and reappears like a Cheshire cat?
Hopefully, it's not just a few of us suffering from the same optical illusion. :) And thank you for bring this up. It always kind of bothered me, but I could never muster up the momentum to start a thread or ask anyone about it. Maybe this will lead to a more smoothly oscillating windmill.
I just went back to the farm to check out my windmill and candle maker. (I had to drag the candlemaker out from where I have it hidden behind a tree since it's one of the "Barbie"-style machines that spoils the look of my farm IMO.) It does "blink" and I'm sure it is not intended.
Try this: If you tap outside the machine to close the selection window, the machine momentarily disappears. I tried the same thing on the icecream stand and the barbecue. When you tap outside those machines to close the selection window, the machine has a little action routine it goes through. For example, the umbrella on the icecream stand bounces. There is no comparable action on the candlemaker; just the "blink" where an action would occur on another machine.
I think they may act differently when they are running vs. idle. My candlemaker is not blinking right now, possibly because it is empty???
Anyway, here is what I observe upon clicking away. Most machines running...
sushi - tools on right bounce
sauce - drip jug bounces
pasta kitchen - same bounce as when opening
pasta maker - same bounce as when opening
bread - oven doors shut
hotdog - just bounces, but when empty the top shuts
popcorn - no change
bbq - lid opens and closes
soup - ?
sandwich - bounces
salad - nothing
cake - nothing
pie - oven doors shut
sewing - bounces
loom - nothing
hat - bounces
candle - hmmmm
jewelry - a vise spins a little
smelter - door opens and closes
extractor - just bounces
gramophone - ooops, not a machine
juice - bushels of fruit bounce
icecream - umbrella bounces
jam - bounces
candy - bounces
blender - bounces
sugar - crank turns
kiosk - chairs bounce
just confirming that candlemaker blinking occurs only when busy, not idle
It clicks. Turns. Clicks. Turns. Pretty sure it has always been that way. Do you have a christmas tree? If you do, watch it. It shifts back in position. Very odd if you notice it. But remember what has been seen can not be unseen. Once I noticed it now thats all I see. LoL
