Issue with expanding

I just used 7 deeds, mallets, and (most precious of all) stakes to open a new plot of land, but the land did not open. The supplies were deducted from my inventory! I logged off and back, but the land is still not open and the supplies are still GONE:( What happened?

Stakes are so hard to come by:(:(:(

Contact the in game support (through the cog top left of the screen) they're generally, actually, quite helpful with this kind of stuff.
