How to De-buff OP Mass Golem Attacks in Higher Level Trophy Pushing

Recently Galadon and Chief Pat have both made videos on how they pretty much couldn't lose their mass golem attacks, they pretty much mean that once you get the hang of them its really hard to lose. When I think about all the strategy's like hogs, lavaloonian, gowiwi (not mass golem), and gowipe (not mass golem); they have all had an Achilles heal. Hogs and gowiwi both are stopped with giant bombs or multi infernos, lavaloonian is stopped by air mines on air defences, and gowipe dies out when pekkas get targeted by teslas, But the mass golem raids don't seemed to be stopped by anything. My solution to this is a spike trap, it is made with dark elixir and does significant damage to a single ground troop (like an air mine) The stats would be,

• Level 1 cost 5,000 dark elixir | Damage 3,000 | Trigger radius 1 tile | Targets Ground | Favorite target golem
• Level 2 cost 15,000 dark elixir | Damage 4,000 | etc.
• Level 3 cost 30,000 dark elixir | Damage 5,000 | etc.
• Level 4 cost 40,000 dark elixir | Damage 6,500 | etc.

Really, you sure? Did you check? I am all for getting rid of all the ruled out garbage in ifr, but I think we need to be careful about just assuming something is ruled out. If we start using "it's ruled out" for "it's a bad idea", it will lose its meaning and people won't respect the rule. (Not that they really do now, but its hard to take the high ground if the auto response is simply: "ruled out"

No, that's in the under consideration portion. BTW this will need to be balanced based on how the new walls do, seeing if there are bases that will stop golems in their tracks.

Ah, my mistake. I stand corrected then.

A splash damage defense that has no effect on golems pekkas or other tanky troops but does good damage to back up troops like wizards and witches. This will limit the golems usefulness since the main task of golems are to tank and if we add this defense it will help combat this. But make it so that there are only 1 or 2 of these defenses and that they don't do too much damage. Make it like the air sweeper accept it daces in all directions and does damage instead of pushing.

This is why the game released +25 walls. Give it time for players to level them up and develop new designs. Well structured high level walls really hurt Golems.

Agreed^^^^^

Dark traps have been ruled out, and we were just given an extra 25 walls. I am sure you can survive.

Using the opinions of two YouTubers as the basis of why something should be nerfed... seriously?? On the same basis should we look at all the "3 star strats" on onehive raids and start nerfing troops used in those raids too?

No, of course not. He's a war master! Also those are mainly TH9s, TH10s are pretty hard to three star except on some bases.

Good idea, but too strong as described. 2 obtainable at th8, +1 at th9, +1 at th10. Should do less damage than in the OP and only trigger for heavier troops, it should ignore Barbarians, Archers, Goblins, summon Skeletons, Wizard and Witches, possibly hogs too. Heroes would trigger them, it should remove a good chunk of HPs, but certainly not outright kill them, maybe 1/4 per trap if they're unlucky enough to walk in more than one. It doesn't need any bonus damage against golems, as the whole point of the golem is tanking and nothing else... Too bad that it's to the giant what the wizard is to the archer, I wish there just a little something to distinguish giants from golems, besides their army camp size (discussion for another thread, please). Also I think setting inferno towers to single target is meant to counter golems. If anything, we can just increase the total max dps single target inferno towers can reach, or make it reach it's current damage a bit faster. But I still don't hate the idea of this thread, I would at least consider it if I was super cell.
