A New Mechanical addition to the game.

Natural Weather disasters and or adding Weather patterns to Clash of Clans.

Natural disasters is a chance at a free shield! but you may lose some resources in the process but no trophy losses.
a hurricane or tornado or earthquake or flood will do randomized damage to our base for a select period of time. Say the same amount of time when being raided normally. Then you receive your 12/16 hr shield depending on how much damage the storms do to your whole base.

Weather Patterns.

Rain, Hail, Sleet, Snow, extreme heat/cold. It could change or alter the effects of certain traps or defenses. It could slot down the advancement of opposing troops or cause opposing troops to become heat exhausted! The weather patterns could also help explain why trees mushrooms grow randomly around our villages.

I like your idea,

but do these weather patterns/disaster occur during a raid? or do you mean occur once in while separately from raids? Cos if they only take the same time as a raid they would only take 3min max, so how would they affect raids on your base when the disaster occurs separatly from raids?

As for the different weather conditions, it would be awesome if cold weather teporarely nerfs and hot weather temporarely boosts inferno's. Rain could extinguish flamed arrows, mortarballs and canonballs. And floods could wash away lightweighted troops.... posibilities are endless =P

That would be cool... Also have weather set in during raids which may also help or set you back during the raid. Not for war though, just on daily looting! CHEERS!!

I don't think it is. At least I couldn't find it.

Not a fan of the idea though. Too random, and clash is very regimented.

I just checked the ruled out list and couldn't find it either.

OP I don't feel like this idea fits into the game.

This topic is not ruled out by the sticky posted above.

the weather patterns would happened randomly as weather normally does. However there could be warning signs such as the little lady that informs you when you have reached a new achievement, she could look up at the skies and notice how darkened they are.

And possibly the weather could be regional. Sort of like a home field advantage kind of thing.... If you battle someone in say China, you could face them within that part of the worlds weather climate depending on seasons ect. And this could have positive or negative effects on defensive towers troops and traps ect.

If the natural disaster or the particular weather pattern,(rain, sleet, snow, hail, fog, ice ect) is happening during a raid, they would continue during the raid unaffected until the weather pattern ends. Each weather cycle could have a start and end timer, however natural disasters would have a strict one minute timer to limit how much the natural disaster could actually destroy. When natural disasters are occurring your locked out of your village editor mode so you can't move buildings out of the way during the weather event. The weather has equal chance to damage both opposing troops and defending troops at the same time. Tornadoes for instance would have lightning and hail associated with it, so if you have say troops in army camp, they will be affected by the weather phenomenon.

Well, i really think this sounds cool but it shouldn't do too much damage to troops and buildings. The nerf/buff stats could be a nice tweek to some defensive structures though.

Also, no need to tripple post in your own thread mate just edit your most recent post if you're the latest post in the thread =) double or tripple posting is generally considered as spamming, so try to avoid that ;)

Asside from the shield as that could be considered optional, do you think there's viability in the weather conditions affecting attack/defensive strength?

I didn't mean to triple post, it just happened that way. I will refrain from posting like that in the future.

this isn't about generating a shield. Though that was the original idea, This is about adding a whole new side to clash of clans by making the game a bit more realistic, and I believe it could add some cool effects and features to us while raiding/warring.
