Idea for those who leave clan during war

I hope this idea isn't a repeat, I couldn't find it while looking but I am new to the forum so I'm sorry if it is.

I know everyone gets upset when someone new joins your clan but leaves right in the middle of war. I understand it's a part of the game and not a lot can be done about it. However I feel a good way to stop most players from doing this would be if they added a statistic in the profile of a player that shows how many times a player left in the middle of war. This would show clans who accept new recruits if they need to be benched for a while before allowing them in war or if they are a trustworthy player. This could also give players an incentive to stay and at least try until the war is over because other clans may not recruit them if they have a bunch of abandoned wars in their profile. This way it doesn't punish those who have a legitimate reason to leave during war but it also makes it to where doing so multiple times will hurt their reputation. I personally feel this is a way to stop an annoying problem without being overly invasive to the player and clan.

Just saying, if the player is forced to sit out on a war or two and is still in the clan, he's more than likely going to stick through a war or at least get both attacks in. Just some pennies for ya.

First, not allow leaving a clan when in war until the WAR END
2nd, add to player statistics how many war joined, how many attack ( done, won) yeah annoying people can still click attack and then leave battle if you force them to stay and attack

I don't disagree with you. However this doesn't work with smaller clans or those who are trying to make a clan because if they bench a new person then they may not have enough people to have a war. My idea definitely helps smaller clans more so than the big ones.

I agree with punishing users who quit in the middle of war, with one exception... If the user opted out of war and was put in anyway, no punishment should fall on them. I actually think the 2 day waiting period shouldn't apply to users who join another clan if they were opted out when the war started in their previous clan. If they are opted out, the blame falls on the person who included them in the war.

But for all other scenarios, yes, punish the war deserters as much as possible!

If they were to be forced to do a war for 2 days long until it ends, people would either don't attack or just get 0% on both attacks. Either way its still the same problem and their is nothing You could do about it unless you not take that player into war for a week.

It's unlikely that Supercell will add a negative statistic. Notice they won't even keep track of your general losses in regular raids? They won't even display your own negative statistic much less others.

This won't fix the problem, this would just make incentive for players who want to leave to use both attacks for 0% each. Now people will rely on this stat that may not ever be close to accurate as they can easily just waste both attacks before leaving.

The only real, viable solution that doesn't affect the individual players gaming experience is proper clan management. If you can barely muster 10 members, maybe you shouldn't go to war yet. Wait until you at least have 15 solid members so you can opt out those that you are uncertain of.

Its hard issue to solve, by in game control the members can still find way to workaround, by hopes on management efficiency we know all thats not realistic for most of clan, except those old and very mature clans with.

but we still can do something to reduce the frenquency of the issue, i think just blocking player from leaving during war (if he opted in as some suggested) may reduce the the issue impact because most of those who leave dont do it to irritate you but only they are hoppers and keep looking for better clan so if they are forced to stay they may join and attack

So people will be kept hostage during war?

What if due to a timezone difference the wars start and end at 4AM your time? you won't have a chance during the day to leave the clan as you're selected and won't be able to leave. So the only solution is to wait for a war to end and hope you can hit that 5 min window at 4AM between wars to leave the clan. This won't solve the problem, it will only increase inactivity as members who actually want to leave will just refuse to participate, and in reaction to that leaders will be able to bully their members by reselectng them every war giving them no oppertunity to leave.

As Axion mentioned in his post, keeping track of negative stats issn't something SC would want to do. However a teporary penalty (like we have right now when a player leaves a war before it is finished) would be a small solution to the problem. Leaders should not be able to refuse clashers on forhand by a negative statistic, but it might be a good idea if the player won't be able to be selected for war over a short period of time. This does not give them a negative stigma and leaves oppertunities to join clans, and after they've joined a clan they can still explain why they're not selectable and be evaluated if they can stay in their new clan.

for issue you mention you simply set your war status to off early during first war, then leader will not include you for next one, if he do then the blocking rule will not apply to you during next war, that's it
