New Troop plans- Ideas that would make troops unique
First of all, this thread does not contain a specific troop but collects some vague ideas which characteristics a new troop could have. As in a sticky in the "Troops and Spell" forum is said: " You have to come up with an idea that's very unique and never been done before in the game, but also not something too powerful or weak, for that matter." The troop should not be too specialized e.g. " a troop that targets building huts ".
So please reply for feedback and, even more important, post your ideas which a unique troop could have! I will implement them to the thread with your name.
Here are some examples from me:
- A troop that makes very much damage, but dies then ( like wallbreaker for buildings )
- A ranged troop with a lot of housing space. ( Catapult etc )
- A troop that digs under walls ( needs time but can't be attacked by ( specific ) defenses )
- A troop that slows down or freezes defenses.
- A really powerful ground troop that needs two gaps in a wall row to come through. ( Can't be affected by jump spells. )
- A support troop that rages other troops.
- A troop that throws bombs, which have to be triggered by other troops to deal damage.
- Another troop that can jump above walls.
- A troop that can trigger traps.
- A troop that can change if it is a ground or air troop ( e.g. starting as flying, when dies get ground. )
- A troop that is invisible as long as it moves.
- A troop that can attack with low ( 1 tile ) or high ( 3 tiles ) range.
- A second ressource targeting troop.
- A healing ground troop.
- A troop with low damage, but extreme splash damage range. (Even more than balloons?)
- A troop that deals poison damage ( Snake? ) by KingGK
- A troop that targets any building, but ignores defending heroes by shashank200801
