Ok, so I've recently got to town hall 9. It's hard to admit that I'm a little rushed. What should I upgrade in my labratory? Golems to level 2, Archers to level 6, Witches to lvl 2. Or should I upgrade my barracks to get lava hounds? Please, reply if you know a good answer. Thank, you! ~ Chief COCDESTROYER69:thumbsup:
I'd say archers to help you farm to catch up.
For farming upgrade giants, barbarians and archers
Forget about war and war troops for quite a while, focus DE on heroes
Depends if you are a war or farmer.
Golems 2 won't help you much and Witches 2 are nice but only after you've upgraded your golems to 3 in my opinion.
I don't know what your other troops are but Giants 6 will be your best farming upgrade and Loons 6 (or Hogs 5) will be your best early war upgrades.
You'll want Hounds but not at the expense of having your lab going which should take priority.
Archers 6 will help you farm against folks with rushed mortars.
You get the best bang for your buck with Giants.
I WOULDN'T do archers if you're a farmer, at least not yet. Lvl 5 --> 6 is a 10% bump in HP and dmg, but a 33% increase in cost. Your barchin' army gets a lot more expensive, but the boost in power is minimal.
What level are your wallbreakers? If they're not 5, do them :) Practice with em, learn the AI, and love em. Sheild em with a hanful of barbs first, only deploy 2 at a time. 8-10 well used WB's can open almost any TH8 base like a tin can (which is what you're going to be preying on as a fresh TH9).
And it never hurts to start the long slog to high level golems. If you war, they're probably the most important troop.
You need farming troops. Giants and barch.
while I agree a small increase in attack power in the level 6 archer seems small, it does add up.
but get your farming strategy worked out (practice and skill help make up for weaker troops) and try to increase your game play. Active players are less hurt by being rushed as they recover much faster.
I think I would research Giants first, if I were you. The boost they get at lvl6 (Loons as well) is awesome, and GiBarch with lvl6 Giants will let you take pretty much any TH8's loot. I might be giving biased advice, though. I always prioritized farming over warring.
For wars as a TH9, I did Loons and then Lava Hounds, and have been practicing LavaLoon lately.
I somewhat agree with the archer increase, but I wouldn't do it as a priority. If all the rest of your farming troops (namely barbs and wallbreakers) are lvl5+, then do archers. But definitely not archers if you're toting lvl 3 wbs :)Quote:

You hit the nail on the head though. Get a good farming STRATEGY down (and practice and get good at it), and the troops you're using matter far less.
My farm army: 88 barbs, 84 arch, 28 gobs, 10 wbs.
