Is Th 9.5 still worth the trouble?

Is there a clear consensus on what constitutes TH9.5?

I've read that the following can be upgraded without much effect on war weight:
- Tesla
- Air Defence
- Traps
I'd obviously focus on the following first 'in no order':
- DE Drill to max
- Army Camps
- Clan Castle
- Gold/Elixir Mines
I'm looking to move to it as I'm getting annoyed with being matched up with TH10s' in war.

My TH9 stats:
- Heroes 21/22
- All Structures maxed
- Only research left is level 3 EQ
- 60 lava walls left
Only thing holding me back is if they give us something new to build with the next update, and my heroes could use a few more levels at least.

Baring in mind I'm already getting matched up with TH10s' in war it shouldn't be a huge jump anyway?

I don't think anybody's definition of 9.5 includes upgrading any defense to a TH10 level. At most the new archer tower and cannon to level 11

You could move up for sure. I've not touched anything to do with th10 yet, except ive maxed my traps, cc, camps. Working in on lab upgrades atm, and mines, and of course heroes. I pull low th10s and high th9s for war, and i can handle either. Not sure about touching any defensive structures just yet. I would suggest not. My War weight is 76k atm.

Looks like its elixir upgrades only plus traps.

Now to make the decision whether to pull the trigger.

Thoughts on new walls to lava, or doesn't really matter due to not building new TH10 items, will it make a massive difference for war weight?

I don't think anybody sits on extra gold/elixir, not spending it, letting storages overflow, because they don't want to do walls.

Seems to be TH 9.5 is the way to go know to get a better advantage in war match up.

How do you know what your war weight is?

look at ALL your gold storages + townhall at the warmap not during the prep-day

if you are on the top spot of your clan go plant your infernos quick

if you have 4-8 th10s in your lineup then feel free to go 9.5 route...

it doesn't mean anything now - it's only a way to make your matches a bit softer but you'll still get matched up with a townhall 10...if you're in the top 1-3 spot of the war map...you need to ensure that you plant all defenses and raise it up quickly to at least townhall 9 level and your IT to level 2...
