Again please read, I don't know if OP is a good attacker or sucks but with practice gets better. To you it doesn't make sense but to someone who truly is practicing and doesn't know too much it does.

Dude, pulling the CC is mandatory. Learn to think before you comment. If a dragon is chasing your hogs around you can't get a three star.

I made a base that technically forced around 20 camp space or so so technically yes no th8 is "unlurable". You can still force 20 troop space with external st's by shifting the encased defenses much further to another side. Don't have the base itself atm it's in my old ipad

T7 had some really nice designs as well.

I think the tip for hog starters whatever they generally suck or not would be always always always always ALWAYS kill defending CC
