I'm confused how war stars work on total bio stars

Why do you even care how many war stars you get? The war star leaderboard is filled with th7 alts , and people who attack a lower th for 6 each war. It's not an actual measurement of skill

Why should you get credit for three starring a base that has already been three starred? All you have to do is copy the replay.

Mostly correct answers here. Another fact about war stars earned. A total of 6 stars per base can be earned by 3 clan mates. First guy attacks first and gets 1 star. Next guy adds a star and earns two. Third guy cleans up he gets three. Collectively you get 6. You get guys 3 starring bases left and right less opportunity I guess but who doesn't mind good clan mates like that?

Has to be one of the many confusing concepts of Clash. Runners up include the Earthquake spell math and the tiebreaker total destruction vs average destruction! XD

I really do not care about war stars, but find the system of how they are rewarded is messed up. It either should be any stars on a war base is added to the achievement or only the amount of stars added to the clan total should be earned.... it is illogical that a base that has been previously 2 starred by one attacker, and is then 2 starred by another, that person gets 0 stars added to the achievement. Yet if that same base is 3 starred, that person then gets all 3 stars added to the achievement? That just doesn't make sense. I'd like to trust SC and the game, but things like that, idk, it lessens a small amount of the trust I have in their company and game.

So you think the first guy with 2 stars should have them removed because they ended up not counting once the second guy 3 starred it?

If I clean up a base and 3 star it, I should get full credit for all the stars I earned.

It only counts new stars you have earned in the war I believe.

If you get any new stars you get all the stars to your profile. So if a base is one starred and you two star it you get 2 stars. If a base is two starred and you get 3 stars you get 3 stars for your profile. The only time you don't get any stars added to your profile is if you didn't improve any stars on the base you attack.

I always thought if you three starred a base that's only one or two starred you only got the new star and not all of them. Well, now I learned something new.

No. First guy got 2 stars for the clan. Second guy got 0 stars, while the third guy got 1 star. So in essance, one war base should be able to provide a total of 3 stars. But as it is for whatever reason, SC awarded 5 stars to the war star achievement to the 2 players contributing stars to the clan's war.

I agree, but as the achievement states "score 'x' stars for your clan in Clan War battles." you still scored 1 star toward your clan on cleanup. What I'd prefer to see is any stars earned in a war battle go towards the achievement. Too many circumstances in war makes it so a person cannot add any stars due to matchups.
