Pros and Cons of Enabling 2 Player Challenge Attacks
There are many instances where it would be nice to be able to challenge another player to a Clash of Clans duel, where each player gets to attack the other's base. I can think of times within a clan where this would be fun, it would certainly lead to interesting dynamics on global, and even challenging players in other clans could be interesting. People within the same clan could of course see each others traps, and people in different clans would not, but that's workable.
I'm envisioning a setup where both players opt in and have a very limited time to attack each other (maybe 1 or 2 hours). COC could either attempt to define what "winning" means, or just leave it to the two players doing the challenge to determine whether % destruction, loot taken, or something else defines the winner.
The primary downside I can see to this feature, would be people gaming it to effectively use it as a backdoor to transfer resources from one account to another, something that Supercell has wisely outlawed.
Any ideas on whether this feature would be desirable, and if so, how to manage the unintended consequences of it?
A more interesting way to do this...
I love the concept of being able to prove your skills in everyday CoC in a manner like this. I think it would be more interesting to have the system provide random amounts of buildings/towers/walls and having a "prep time" where each player involved in the challenge builds their base custom each time. SC could employ a system so that each player is given an overall equal defensive weighting but we would be challenged to most effectively utilize what were working with, instead of simply having people use their existing bases. This way it would allow ALL players to challenge each other regardless of TH level and upgrade levels.
would be used to practice war attacks no doubt

-Add a "Challenge" button on every player's profile
-If a player gets challenged, they have 5 min to reply (this means both players have to be planning to challenge each other in real time, either inside their clan, on global, or in the real world)
-Entering a challenge costs each player 25,000 gold
-Both players have 90 minutes to attack each other's bases
-The player with the highest % destruction gets their 25,000 gold and the cost of their troops/spells refunded to them
-The loser is out the 25,000 gold challenge fee, and the cost of their troops/spells
This way there is no way to use this to transfer loot from one player to another.
Also, regarding the concern about practicing for war attacks. If there is a resource cost and a potential cost for the troops/spells, and you would have to have a friend with exactly the same defenses/walls/heroes as the base you are practicing for, and you would need to correctly guess where the traps are placed; then is this really a significant risk? I'm sure it would occasionally happen, but it would be an expensive (time & resources), complicated, and potentially inaccurate way to try to game the system.
Your thoughts?
you realize in top tier war clans doing an attack can take HOURS, you can skitch an attack, then skitch another one then another one then another one and then discuss said skitches. actually setting up being able to practice against an enemy base actually sounds ez compared ..... get my point.
as to the not while in war. there are tons of players with multiple top tier accounts
You cannot have a two-person war!!!
