Lv 4 clan castle or lv 6 mortar

Currently I'm planning my big spend when my hall finishes upgrading to 8.

I thought I had a plan, by upgrading mortars immediately; but now considering doing the clan castle first instead as I like it centered; an extra 5 troops would also be very useful on defense.

Which would you choose?

Those 5 extra spots make a big difference, especially if you often get things that aren't archers. For example, you'd be able to receive pekkas, or, instead of just getting a dragon, you could get a dragon and 5 archers, or a drag wiz, and archer etc you get the point so I'd go with the cc but in all honesty it's a game and you can do whatever you want the most

CC, offense boost and defense boost. If you use it often on offense it's basically like an army camp upgrade, PLUS a good defensive upgrade.

Will the 20 gems from the achievement make a difference on clan castle? if not, I would say mortar first, then the cc.

Get the clan castle out of the way. There's three mortars... And only one CC :).

Yeah, considering that I think I'll do the CC.

I was thinking purely defensively at the start.

Thanks for the thoughts everyone. I'll probably still question myself until I can finally do it. But leaning more heavily to clan castle now.

I would go with mortar because then you get more on the defensive side plus you get the fire mortar shots :)

I must admit the fire shoots look bloody awesome, I wasn't sure if that was lv 6 or lv 7 that did that.

Well the mortar may look awesome, but I reckon that you should upgrade CC to lvl 4 because it can deal with defences AND attacks while the mortar can only defend your village (and it has a blind circle around it too so that is another disadvantage). Yeah clan castle better you can now fit one dragon AND a few more troops to defend and/or attack the opponent.

level 6 and 7 mortars have same mortar shot particle effects

Clan Castle, in this game it's offense>defence and the CC also is the best defense building in the game.
