Recruiting from Global Chat--What's Your Strategy?

Hey all, so I've been hard at work trying to recruit people into our clan (I recruit from our level 2 feeder where we can see if members are a good fit before sending them to the main clan). While I do have a recruiting thread that I started, my best luck has come from global. Lately, however, I've hit a bit of a slump, which is making me wonder what other people have found to be successful when recruiting from global. What do you post? Or if you were recruited from global, what was posted that convinced you to join? Or is what you post even that important?

So this is what we do when we want to recruit for our feeders.
1)Be in a high league
2)Go on English global
3)Everyone wants to join

This is how I joined.
I was a TH4 noob. Just chatting on global. No one nice, keep refreshing - until I strike gold. One of my co's was recruiting - but not the boring "Join Now!" or "Level 4 clan need Th4+". Just messing around, and asking the nice peeps to sign up. Seemed like a nice guy so I signed up too. Havent regretted it since.

That's actually a pretty good idea, kartikeya. I don't usually try to ask specific people, but I wonder if that might be more effective. I guess the main reason I'm hesitant is most either have a clan or are being constantly bombarded by requests already. My main is currently sitting at Master III, and depending on which chat room I get sometimes I get treated like a I'm some kind of pro. Most of the time, though, it doesn't seem to have much impact. I've actually wondered if my second account (currently th7) is less intimidating for lower level town halls who are more likely to be looking for a clan to join...

You'll find manyyyy hoppers too if you go hunting with your main.
I'd suggest nighttime (according to UK or US) to be the best time for recruiting if you choose this way.
