X bows are not as dangerous as they look, the rapid fire rate can put you off. But at level one they aren't that big of a deal. Leveled up they are more dangerous.
When I did raids with a lot of dragons they are very lame. Either can't hit you due to been grounded only, or have lower range and power no different to an archer tower.
I find they are only an issue when set on the ground and you are trying to raid with ground troops. In that case you have to speed things up or 'tank' the hits. Giant/healer combos are effective to push through and cover other troops. Rage spells can also really speed things up if placed well.
Raged troops. Or lots of meat shields followed by archers or wizards. Anything else and the bows will pick you apart even if low level.
Xbows only do 50-80 dps, which is like cannon/archer tower numbers, but with better range. Make sure they're locked on your giants or golem and not going to pick off your wall breakers, then raid the base like any other. Don't panic and mass deploy a million archers or barbs in a clump or the mortar towers become a bigger problem than the Xbow ever could be. Rage helps a lot, as does having your BK in attendance for the raid. If the Xbow is accompanied by level 6+ splash towers, inferno tower(s), a centralized CC, high level walls, etc and you have a farming army... best to just hit skip and not waste an army giving the defender a hilarious replay.
