Hate the Total Destruction scoring when matchmaking system doesn't fix

Hello guys,

Doesn't mean to hate the new clan tiebreaker, i loved it. but something about scoring is not fair since i on TH9 and meet the TH10 in clan war. i'm in the mid of TH9 where my opponent is mid TH10 whatever there is no TH10 in my clan. the problem is the TH10 can take more total destruction percentage than me and maybe easily 2 stars meanwhile it's more difficult for me take more percentage from it, how is the matchmaking system work if total destruction is count? SC should consider about this.

I've said this before and I will say it again:

You do not have an opponent in clan wars.

The entire weight of all the members of your 'team' are measured against the entire weight of the opposition clan.

Yes, sometimes the matchmaking algorithm cannot completely match up war weights of opposing teams and at times your clans weight will be higher than the opposing clan and sometimes your clan will be weaker than the opposing clans.

Good clans will sway the weighting in their favour by upgrading offensively first and then worrying about defensive structures but this still does not make a war 'unfair' as this option is open to you as well.

What's changed then? If the TH10 can out star you and the rest of your clan, then chances are, you aren't going to tie with them and total destruction scoring will be a non-factor.

Matchmaking seems to be an issue for many people. I'm not sure why, I've rarely seen mismatches in our clan wars. Maybe it's because we keep out wars low (15v or 10v) and have a decent spread of Th8-Th10. Sometimes they have one extra TH10, sometimes we do. Sometimes we have an extra TH9, sometimes they do. But generally speaking, our wars have been perfect match ups for as long as I can remember. I don't recall a single excessively lop sided war as some have claimed on the forums.

Name me a war in history where both sides had equal troops?

I don't recall Churchill and Hitler having Lev 6 barbs, Lev 6 archers and Lev 3 Pekkas. I could be wrong though.

How do you propose they do that?

If there are no clans that are equal to your clan looking for a war at the same time as your clan there is literally nothing SC can do about it.

It's not a programming issue it's a lack of available clans issue.

I think they've done a decent job. So far our matchmaking are quite precise. Little off every now and then but that's totally understandable.

You need to realize that there is this uncontrollable, yet most important factor in the matchmaking algorithm, your opponent. It doesn't matter how delicate the algorithm is if they can't find another clan that fits the criteria perfectly. They can only find from a pool of clans that press the button at that moment in time. If they can't find it, of course, they are going to move on to the next best thing. Meaning it's not a perfectly even match up. But if your clans are unique (ie. most of the bases are waaaaay premature or have a lot of x.5 bases), of course you are going to have a hard time getting a fair match-up because there are not a lot of clans exactly like that. Let alone ones that press the button at the same time.

Yeah, to sum it up. The matchmaking, while not perfect, is quite decent at least for us.
