1. Lab, CC, spell factory, camps, dark barracks. Then dark drills, dark storage, the new gold/lix storage
2. Yes and no. Now walls are very weighted and that's why some .5s got screwed if they have like all lv10 walls. Just do it to get rid of excessive gold I guess
3. You MUST upgrade your royals
Pretty much what hashtagbene said. Go ahead and get your new TH9 walls and if you haven't gotten all your TH8 walls at level 8, you can start putting gold into lvl8 walls.
You can take the giant bomb and seeking air mine, and according to the weight spreadsheet, you can upgrade skeleton traps at not additional base weight.
I upgraded loons first to put DE into my Queen, then hogs. Giants are next because they are incredible for farming and they provide very good distraction when surgical hogging.
Once you get a viable TH9 army, you can start upgrading your TH8 defences. I would start with AD and teslas. Then Cannon and archer. When all that is max for TH9 then add the new TH9 Arc/wiz tower and tesla and get those maxed. I plan to add Xbows after these upgrades and save my splash damage defenses for last.
The great thing about TH9 is that once you have all that done and you pretty much are left with Walls and Heros, nothing goes to waste (like Lix and DE did at TH8) because you can put gold and lix into walls and DE for heros.
