Clan war matching

Hi,

please help, my clan are suffering very bad war matches repeatedly! They are becoming very disheartened. We are a level4 clan (trying to get to 5 for the troop upgrade perk!) we have declared war today and the opposition team are far stronger than us. I was under the impression that factors such as defences were part of the selection process? Well comparing their top guy with mine (and all the way down the clan) they have higher EVERYTHING (at least 2 levels higher defences)than us - they are also a lol 7 clan -3 levels higher what a joke! They have 7 players over lol 100 - I know player level isn't a factor but the higher your level the more loot you have collected therefore the stronger your base! So to a clan leader this is a massive point! I have no lvl 100 players!!!

I find it it heartbreaking every time I declare knowing we have little or no chance of a win! I've tried the old declare and wait 5 mins cancel and repeat and doesn't make a difference!

Higher player level does not necessarily equate to more looting or stronger base- they could simply be heavy donators. You can gem your base to maxed and be sitting 30 levels below another player that doesn't. Forget about player level.

If your clan is repeatedly getting outmatched- it is an issue with your clan. Either you have rushed your bases, neglecting troop levels and heroes, or your TH balance is way out of wack. You cannot have TH9s with bows and Th10s with infernos, yet hero levels in the teens and purple walls- you won't be very successful in wars.

Too many players rush their defensive upgrades. This leads to tough mirror matches that 95% of the CoC community can't 3 star. If you focus on learning how to attack, slow your defensive upgrades and focus on offense all these mismatch posts would go away. Well, probably not because attack skill is rare.:p

also vast spreads of th levels can and will lead to mismatches. better to keep your party th levels within 2 ranks (ie 5-7. 6-8. 7-9, etc)

We've had quite a few 'mismatches' recently... But as it turns out, where the other clan have stronger defenses, we had way stronger attacking strength.

Guess which side won ;)

Premmie bases seem to attract mismatches more often too, maybe some upgrades would help?

If you guys are still level 4, you either don't war much or don't win much. Player level means almost nothing. Clan level 5 us a bonus, but that's it.

We just faced a clan with an extra th10(2 to our 1) and an extra th9. The first th10 was completely maxed with max heroes and troops. I'm the top th10 and I still have some th9 defenses and level 2 infernos, but high 30s heroes.

Well we won the war, after I thought it was going to be impossible. We tied, but had a higher % destruction lol! Just do your best. I've seen other clans that look so tough, but they just gowipe for two stars and don't even get that sometimes.

Also, remember not to let your defenses get ahead of your offense. Nothing worse than a th9/10, with max d and low to mid teens heroes.

This has not been my experience.

We rarely have significant mismatches, but our clan is composed of a mixture ranging from 1 TH10 down to 1 TH4.

More of us are TH9 & TH8 than anything else, but every war we have had 1 TH10, and every war we have had at least one (usually more) at TH6 or below.

Mismatches are more than often caused by premmie/rushed/defense over offense accounts, OR the war search took too long, OR very weird TH breakdown. Snce you said u get mismatched repeatedly it's probably the first or third option

OP - if you want advice, tell us your clan tag, and the names of your top few players and the same for your current opponent and we can maybe advise.

The advice on this thread is good, but no-one can really say what applies to your clan without seeing it.
